Ice Fortress

Dago was enjoying the breeze blowing in from beyond Sky Floating Island, letting his tangled thoughts drift away.

Suddenly, he heard wings flapping overhead.

Dago looked up to see a brightly feathered rainbow parrot fly in through the floor-to-ceiling window. It landed on the floor and effortlessly transformed into a young man wearing a feathered robe.

"What is it, Steel?"

Dago tidied the things on his desk and calmly addressed the young man before him.

Steel was an existence much like the giant spider Abochild: both were wizards whose souls now inhabited different bodies.

Steel had supposedly been a powerful illusion wizard in life. After his physical body was damaged beyond repair, the previous tower master had transferred his soul into a magical beast, a rainbow parrot.

Dago had also learned a little about the previous tower master from Steel.

The previous ring master had been Undine's older brother. He had been immensely powerful, even attaining the Fourth-Ring Miracle rank. Later, while traveling the world, he had completely lost contact with the Ring of Law. Nearly a century had passed since then.

"The tower master wants you upstairs to discuss your training."

Steel spoke to Dago with a cheerful grin. He had always served as the tower master's messenger in the Silver Tower.

"All right, understood."

Dago nodded and stood, then followed Steel up to the top of the tower.

Undine was much as she had been the last time he saw her. She seemed to be perpetually busy.

This time, however, she stood at the workbench at the far end of the long table, apparently studying the blood she had taken from Dago.

"Dago, you're here!"

Sensing his arrival, Undine stopped her research and raised a hand slightly. A powerful Mental Force Field instantly smoothed away every stray aura
