Four months later.
Thorn Ring.
"Have you really made up your mind?"
At the top of the Silver Tower, Undine asked softly.
Dago slowly withdrew his gaze from the other seven towers in the distance. Turning back, he nodded as he teased the brightly feathered, long-beaked parrot perched on his arm.
"Yes. There are reasons I have to leave early."
"I checked. The place I'm going isn't particularly far from where the Omnipotent Ring headquarters is located."
"If I miss the escort, I'll go there myself."
Seeing how determined Dago was, Undine said nothing more. She merely took something from her Spatial Ring and handed it to him.
It was a small bird folded from blue paper. Holding it in his hand, he could feel faint rune fluctuations from it.
"Once you reach the Central Continent and finish dealing with your own matters, you can use this to contact the person coming to pick you up."
"They have plenty of patience when it comes to you."
Dago accepted the blue paper bird from Undine and nodded.
Once he reached the Central Continent and left the coverage of the southern Communication Towers, all the Communication Stones in his possession would become useless.
This blue paper bird was probably the communication tool commonly used by Central Continent wizards.
"Dago."
With everything explained, Undine looked at Dago. Her lips parted as though she wanted to say something to him.
But in the end, she only gave him a gentle hug.
"Be careful on the road."
Dago's heart stirred slightly. In Undine's lake-green eyes, he seemed to see the shadow of someone else.
He returned Undine's embrace, bid one final farewell to the parrot Shetir, then slowly descended the tower.
Dago walked down the book-lined stairs inside the tower one step at a time.
