Di Tian had lived through Dragon God’s Twilight, humanity’s rise, and the soul beasts’ decline by the time of the main story. He carried the burden of protecting Star Dou Great Forest and viewed the Spirit Pagoda’s exploitation of soul beasts as a threat to their fundamental survival. 8

Ten thousand years earlier, Huo Yuhao made an oath with Di Tian while still a Soul Saint. After Huo Yuhao ascended, he left Di Tian an ice-blue snowflake insignia that could be used to summon him if a major event endangered the soul beast race. 8

When the insignia reacted to Huo Yuhao’s weakened spiritual essence, Di Tian recognized him immediately despite the vast passage of time. He suppressed the other ferocious beasts’ hostile reactions, personally investigated the signal, and found Huo Yuhao severely injured and stripped of his divine power. 8 9

Di Tian accepted Huo Yuhao’s proposal to protect the forest with a shielding module. In return, he supplied funds, materials, secret supply routes, and assigned Demon Spirit to accompany Huo Yuhao into human society as both support and an informant. 10

During Huo Yuhao’s later journey twenty thousand years into the past, an earlier Di Tian initially treated the time traveler as a danger to Star Dou.
