Background / History

Gu Yue is the true body of the Silver Dragon King, while Na'er is an avatar separated from her; both remain connected as parts of Gu Yuena. Before becoming publicly active, Gu Yue entered human society under the identity of a girl with an Elemental Envoy martial soul and became the disciple of Spirit Pagoda Vice Tower Master Leng Yaozhu. Her unexpectedly low Innate Soul Power assessment concealed her actual nature from her mentor and the public. 23 44

Initially, Gu Yue intended to secure the soul beasts' future by infiltrating and eventually controlling the Spirit Pagoda, while directing Na'er to enter Shrek Academy so the pair could influence both institutions. She regarded Na'er's attachment to Tang Wulin and the Tang family as an impurity, leading her to threaten them when Na'er refused her orders. 42

Jin, the Golden Dragon King's incarnation, decisively defeated Gu Yue after intervening in her battle with Na'er. His criticism of her outdated strategy, together with her failure to force Na'er into obedience, left Gu Yue questioning whether strength and institutional control alone could protect the soul beast race. 43 44

Rather than abandon her objective, Gu Yue began studying Spirit Pagoda politics, economics, administration, negotiation, and technical cooperation under Leng Yaozhu's guidance. The work exhausted her but taught her that leading a major organization required influence, connections, and practical knowledge rather than raw power alone. 46

Gu Yue is portrayed as an exceptionally beautiful but distant girl whose appearance varies across her identities and circumstances. At the Aolai City auction, she has soft purple hair and deep violet eyes; during her time at Eastsea Academy, she is commonly seen with silver hair.
