Background / History

Na'er was separated from the Silver Dragon King as a “pure perspective” intended to observe humanity, particularly Tang Wulin, whose body contains the Golden Dragon King's God Core. After sensing Tang Wulin's sealed draconic pressure, she covertly changed her mission: he became her foremost subject of observation, investigation, and possible control. She resolved not to disclose his secret even to Di Tian. 13 21

She entered Tang Wulin's life by posing as a homeless orphan being bullied in an alley. Tang Wulin defended her and brought her home, where Tang Ziran and Lang Yue accepted her into the family. Although she initially treated the arrangement as cover, she began learning ordinary human life through their warmth, care, and everyday routines. 13

Her report that Di Tian had entered the human world alerted Gu Yue to her location. Na'er soon feared that Gu Yue would see Tang Wulin and the Tang family as obstacles or tools rather than the home Na'er had come to value. 21

Gu Yue later ordered Na'er to infiltrate Shrek Academy as part of a plan to influence both Shrek and the Spirit Pagoda.
