Background
Anilas arrived in Xijing City as the captain of a ten-member Second-Generation Agent squad. Originally from a distant northern country, she and vice-captain Herul formed the squad’s operational core. Her real name was initially withheld from the public. 144
Her past is closely connected to Gotō Chizuru, a deceased girl whose supposed “research accident” was actually experimentation involving the Numbered Subjects project. Anilas keeps a photograph from that period and invokes Chizuru’s memory when fighting. 150 154 207
After learning that the Numbered Subjects trials grew from the theories of a pair of researchers and were pursued by the Tellusiusist United Party Faction as a potential weapon program, Anilas began tracking those responsible. She identified and secretly killed several peripheral researchers, though none possessed the project’s deepest secrets. 207
Her investigation eventually implicated Takuma and Kaoru Yanase, Efnir’s parents. Overwhelmed by grief and anger, Anilas confronted Efnir at gunpoint and demanded their location. Efnir defeated her, confiscated her Beacon, and had her temporarily detained due to her unstable state. 214 215 After regaining her composure, Anilas apologized and accepted Efnir’s offer to help investigate the matter properly. 216
Appearance
Anilas has distinctive northern features and shoulder-length blond hair, often described as golden in combat. Her appearance makes her conspicuous even within a squad of Agents. 144 154
- Shoulder-length blond or golden hair. 144 154
- Northern facial features and a normally calm, clear gaze. 144 154
- Her eyes appear crimson during her confrontation with Efnir. 214
- In Exile Form, she manifests a glamorous combat outfit and her silver-and-black firearm. 147 209
Personality
Anilas is composed, observant, and professional while acting as captain. She scrutinizes unfamiliar people carefully, but is considerably more approachable outside command situations. 144 157
She is an experienced instructor who explains reconnaissance tactics to less experienced Agents and prioritizes keeping combat personnel available for Erosion Entity attacks rather than assigning them to noncombat labor. 157 158
Despite her steady exterior, Anilas carries intense grief and resentment over Chizuru’s death. That pain drives her pursuit of the researchers involved, but it also leaves her vulnerable to emotional instability. 207 214 216
Anilas deeply respects Efnir’s strength and character. Though initially shaken by the difference between them, she treats Efnir as an ideal to pursue and resolves to improve rather than remain behind her. 147 162 204
Abilities & Skills
Second-Generation Beacon: Anelace
Anilas uses the Second-Generation Beacon Anelace, developed from Fifina’s model. Its defining function is enhanced vision. 159
- Enhances her visual range and clarity through Order Force. 159 208
- Allows her to identify distant threats, terrain details, and enemy positions at the edge of her sight. 159 208
- Supports her effectiveness as a perimeter observer and long-range fire-support Agent. 204
- Cannot compensate for enemies hidden beyond visual range, such as Angel within heavy fog. 159
Exile Form and Synchronization
Anilas can enter Exile Form, manifesting combat attire and Order Weapons through Synchronization. 147 154
- Uses enhanced physical movement to leap between vehicles, evade attacks, and rapidly reposition. 154 161
- Can dismiss Synchronization to reduce the worsening effects of Order Force depletion. 209
- Her Order Force and stamina were heavily drained near the underground cylinder beneath the Garrison District. 208 209
Anti-Materiel Order Weapon
Her primary weapon is a long, narrow silver-and-black firearm resembling an anti-materiel rifle. It is specialized for extreme firepower and one-hit kills. 147
- A full-strength shot can kill a danger-class B Erosion Entity in one hit and has a chance to instantly kill a danger-class A entity. 147
- Her Killing Blow tore apart an A-rank Erosion Entity’s tail and neutralized its attack in a single shot. 154 155
- Its destructive force can breach conventional armored vehicles and border garrison walls. 155
- Her shots can injure an Angel, though they are not reliably fatal against one. 162 163
- The attack consumes substantial Order Force and even her manifested Order Weapon, preventing consecutive uninterrupted use. 155 165
Secondary Weapons and Close Combat
Although long-range combat is her specialty, Anilas can summon and use secondary weapons in close quarters. 147 215
- Uses pistols, a dagger, short blades, and a handgun as secondary armaments. 147 215
- Employs grappling, strangulation holds, and throws to disrupt an opponent’s posture. 147 215
- Possesses enough physical strength to throw Efnir to the ground during their later duel. 215
- Is less effective when terrain or enemy movement removes her range advantage. 204
Command, Reconnaissance, and Fire Support
Anilas is an adept field commander whose strengths extend beyond direct combat. 158 200
- Briefs Agents on drone reconnaissance, lure-shell use, and the logistical cost of gathering intelligence beyond the Boundary. 158
- Takes charge of pre-battle task assignment and operational analysis for joint Agent forces. 200
- Leads the Muses squad during defensive engagements and underground investigations. 203 207
- Provides precise suppressive fire, targeting Mutated Entities’ hearts and the parasitic roots controlling them. 204
- Recognized the Order Force-draining effect of the underground cylinder, recalled her team, and risked herself to locate Efnir. 208 209
Equipment
- Second-Generation Beacon “Anelace” — grants enhanced vision based on Fifina’s Beacon model. 159
- Silver-and-black anti-materiel Order Weapon — her primary long-range firearm. 147
- Pistols and handgun — summoned or carried for rapid close-range fire. 147 215
- Twin short blades and dagger — standard secondary weapons for close combat. 147
- Electronic bracelet and communications headset — used during operations and command duties. 171 205
Relationships
- Efnir — A senior Agent whom Anilas admires as both an idol and a combat ideal. They first duel during the Second-Generation squad’s arrival, later fight Angels together, and reconcile after Anilas’s confrontation over the Yanase family. 147 162 214 216
- Herul — Her vice-captain and trusted subordinate. Anilas entrusts Herul with leading their squad back to defend the Train and commander while she reinforces Efnir. 144 162
- Shiomi Yukina — A younger Agent whom Anilas thanks for supporting her after a Killing Blow and later mentors in reconnaissance tactics. 155 157 158
- Kusei Maki — Her commander and a source of classified information on the Numbered Subjects research. Maki delays immediate disciplinary action after Anilas attacks Efnir due to the operation’s urgency and Anilas’s value as an Agent. 207 215
- Lapith — A fellow squad captain and joint-operation partner. Lapith initially moves to protect Efnir during Anilas’s breakdown, but respects Efnir’s decision to settle the conflict alone. 200 214
- Gotō Chizuru — A deceased figure central to Anilas’s past and pursuit of the Numbered Subjects researchers. 154 207
