Background

Anilas arrived in Xijing City as the captain of a ten-member Second-Generation Agent squad. Originally from a distant northern country, she and vice-captain Herul formed the squad’s operational core. Her real name was initially withheld from the public. 144

Her past is closely connected to Gotō Chizuru, a deceased girl whose supposed “research accident” was actually experimentation involving the Numbered Subjects project. Anilas keeps a photograph from that period and invokes Chizuru’s memory when fighting. 150 154 207

After learning that the Numbered Subjects trials grew from the theories of a pair of researchers and were pursued by the Tellusiusist United Party Faction as a potential weapon program, Anilas began tracking those responsible. Her investigation eventually implicated Takuma and Kaoru Yanase, Efnir’s parents. Overwhelmed by grief and anger, Anilas confronted Efnir at gunpoint and demanded their location. Despite the defeat, Anilas develops respect for Efnir. Xijing’s Agents win both training matches, with Efnir defeating Anilas and Canary defeating Herul. 148

Maesakagawa Recapture Operation

During the operation Beyond the Boundary, Anilas destroys an A-rank Erosion Entity’s attack with a Killing Blow, but requires Yukina and Kite to finish the wounded target because her own Order Force is depleted. 154 155

When Angel attacks the force, Anilas leads the Second-Generation Agents into battle. Upon discovering that two Angels are present, she orders Herul to return with the squad and defend the Train and commander while she continues alone to support Efnir. 161 162
