Satoru Gojo and the others were getting ready to leave.
Before they did, though, Satoru Gojo gave Megumi Fushiguro a look.
Megumi understood and walked over to Ronova.
"Need something?"
From the way Megumi hesitated, Ronova guessed something was troubling him.
So she asked out of curiosity.
Megumi nodded. "I want you to save someone!"
"Save someone? You're asking me?"
Ronova was surprised. She was the Death Curse Spirit.
If he wanted her to kill someone, sure. That was her specialty.
But save someone?
Was he thinking straight?
Still, Ronova really could save people.
"Go on, then. Who do you want me to save?"
"My sister, Tsumiki Fushiguro!"
Megumi quickly explained the situation in detail.
Early the previous year, when Megumi was still in middle school,
his sister, Tsumiki Fushiguro, had fallen into a deep sleep for reasons no one knew.
Her vital signs were normal. She just wouldn't wake up.
She was effectively in a vegetative state.
Megumi had become a Jujutsu Sorcerer to save his sister.
He had also asked many people to examine her.
They included not only Satoru Gojo, but also a medical expert like Shoko Ieiri, who could use Reverse Cursed Technique.
Unfortunately, none of it helped.
They had tried everything, yet still found no way to bring his sister back.
Then, not long ago, Satoru Gojo had a bold idea.

Ronova then told Shoko Ieiri about it.
Shoko nodded. "I know Tsumiki. I went to see her myself."
"But even I couldn't find a way to help."
"She isn't injured. She's under some kind of curse. Unless we find its source, waking her is almost impossible."
"Luckily, we have you. That saves us the trouble!"
A curse was an unusual method of attack.
It was somewhat like a rule that dictated how someone would be killed.
Once it took hold, it would cling to its victim until death.
There was only one way to break it.
Find the source of the curse and exorcise it!
What Shoko Ieiri didn't know, however,
was that the one who had cursed Tsumiki Fushiguro was Kenjaku.
That was why Tsumiki Fushiguro had remained asleep for so long.
For Ronova, though, it was a different matter.
She didn't need to follow the usual steps of tracking down the curse's source and exorcising Kenjaku.
She only needed to kill the curse itself.
That was the power of an ability with rules this absurd.
Defying all reason was what made it truly formidable!
The next morning, Megumi arrived and waited outside the door.
Only after Ronova woke up on her own did he respectfully come in.
Shoko Ieiri arranged breakfast for them, and they ate together.
Then Ronova left with Megumi.
Before long, they reached a hospital in Tokyo.
There, in a hospital room, they saw Megumi's sister, Tsumiki Fushiguro.
Tsumiki lay quietly in bed. Years without sunlight had left her skin unnaturally pale.
She was utterly still, like a delicate doll.
She hardly looked alive.
"This is my sister. She hasn't woken up since early last year."
"I've tried so many things, but nothing could wake her."
"Please help her!"
Megumi bowed ninety degrees to Ronova, but she waved for him to straighten up.
Then she said, "Someone cursed your sister. They also placed a curse mark on her."
"The mark is suppressing Tsumiki's consciousness, leaving her in this vegetative state."
"And one day, when the mark activates, an ancient soul will take over your sister's body."
"By then, it'll be too late to save her."
Megumi immediately grew anxious at those words.
His gaze turned cold.
"Who did this? How dare they?"
"I'll find them and kill them myself!"
Ronova smiled but didn't answer.
After all, Kenjaku was the one responsible.
Even if Megumi knew, his chances of taking revenge himself were vanishingly small.
Besides, Ronova had already marked Kenjaku as her prey. She wasn't about to hand him over to Megumi.
If Megumi wanted to kill Kenjaku, he would need Ronova's consent.
But there was no need to tell Megumi any of that.
After his outburst, Megumi quickly collected himself. "Can you help my sister?"
Ronova's little face turned grave, and she shook her head.
The color drained from Megumi's face.
Even the light in his eyes dimmed.
Only then did Ronova say, "No problem. It's easy to fix!"

Seeing Ronova's raised lips and triumphant look, he knew she had been teasing him.
He was a little annoyed. She was such a troublemaker.
But his sister mattered far more than being teased.
"Please!"
Megumi bowed again. Ronova said no more and went to Tsumiki Fushiguro's side.
She reached out, and red Cursed Energy appeared.
In an instant, it killed both the curse and the curse mark on Tsumiki Fushiguro!
While she was at it, she killed conditions such as illness, weakness, and pain as well!
That was how absurd All Things Die was.
It could even kill concepts.
Conditions were no exception.
In fact, Ronova wasn't just the world's greatest killer among Cursed Spirits.
She was also the world's greatest savior.
Before her, there was no one beyond saving.
Even if someone was decrepit and nearing the end of their life, Ronova could kill their "old age" and restore their vitality.
Once Ronova grew stronger, she could even kill an individual's "death."
That would make her target "undying."
In other words, it would be a curse of immortality!
Put simply, if Ronova used her Cursed Technique to save people,
it would be the ultimate, vastly superior version of the Horse Talisman.
The noble horse could remove all harm caused by external forces.
