Background

Following Suguru Geto’s death, Kenjaku takes possession of Geto’s corpse and returns to his home, where Ronawa identifies him by the stitched mark on his forehead. When Ronawa threatens to kill him, Kenjaku deters her by claiming that the Culling Game can restore Geto’s soul. Nanako and Mimiko remain at his side because of that promise, despite knowing he is not their father. 38 39 40

After securing Geto’s body, Kenjaku inherits his assets, most notably the Time Vessel Association. He uses its funding, influence, and political connections while rebuilding his combat force through the recruitment and subjugation of Cursed Spirits. 42
