Background / History
Qing Si was born to Kaguya Genji and Kaguya Yukiko in the Land of Water. His twin forehead horns were treated by Kaguya Musashi, Genji’s elder brother and the Kaguya Clan head, as proof that he was a “mutated monster.” Genji’s family was expelled and exiled to an unnamed southern border hamlet when Qing Si was still an infant. Yukiko’s health deteriorated under the harsh conditions and lack of treatment, leading to her death. 1
His soul originally belonged to Si Qing, a 24-year-old orphan from Earth who died in a traffic accident shortly after completing a master’s degree. The adult soul sealed most of itself within Qing Si’s infant body; its memories resurfaced when Qing Si was eight. 1
Qing Si trained in secret from age four using a Kaguya chakra-training scroll left by his mother. His Dead Bone Pulse awakened at six, though the awakening had been delayed by malnutrition and exile. 2 At eight, he learned that his horns marked an atavistic Ōtsutsuki bloodline rather than an ordinary Kaguya kekkei genkai. 1 5
Isshiki Ōtsutsuki targeted Qing Si as a potential vessel. During their encounter, Isshiki implanted Qing Si with Kāma, but Genji sacrificed his life and used the Ash Bones Technique to kill Isshiki, allowing Qing Si to escape through a Shadow Clone. 9 Isshiki’s death left Qing Si with ownerless Kāma information: a millennium of memories, techniques, intelligence, and knowledge that his bloodline could gradually absorb. 10
Appearance
Qing Si is a tall, refined-looking boy whose delicate features and pale complexion contrast with his physically powerful body. His appearance resembles his mother, Yukiko, closely enough for Yuan Shi to recognize his lineage. 1 15
- Two horns grow from the sides of his forehead, marking his Ōtsutsuki atavism. 1
- He has red markings between his eyebrows and a cold, noble appearance. 1
- His body appears lean, but the Dead Bone Pulse gives every joint exceptional strength and resilience. 5
- At age nine, he no longer appears undernourished after months of recovery and travel. 14
- He commonly conceals his horns and forehead markings with the Transformation Technique to avoid recognition by the Kaguya Clan. 12 15
- He favors white clothing, including a light beige shinobi outfit and a white robe embroidered with six black tomoe. 13
Personality
Qing Si is cautious, analytical, and strongly motivated by survival. His past-life knowledge is incomplete, so he does not rely on it blindly; instead, he studies the world around him, gathers intelligence, and makes plans based on the information available to him. 1 22
He values family deeply because he grew up without it in both lives. Genji’s sacrifice, Yukiko’s death, and the Kaguya Clan’s treatment of his family fuel his hostility toward Kaguya Musashi, while Yuan Shi’s kindness makes Qing Si receptive to a grandfather-grandson bond. 9 16 30
As a leader, Qing Si is pragmatic rather than idealistic. He can be generous toward subordinates and friends, but he is willing to pursue harsh solutions when he believes Hidden Mist Village’s interests or his own long-term evolution require them. 13 47
Abilities & Skills
Ōtsutsuki Bloodline and Kāma Assimilation
Qing Si’s bloodline is an ancestral reversion beyond the Kaguya Clan’s usual inheritance. Isshiki’s ownerless Kāma continually nourished that bloodline until Qing Si fully absorbed its gift. 5 10 31
- Possesses all seven chakra natures. 10 19
- Has unusually high-quality chakra; the same technique is more powerful when cast by him than by an ordinary shinobi. 11
- Accesses Isshiki’s memories as stored information rather than fused personal memories. 10
- Inherited combat knowledge, simplified ninjutsu methods, and intelligence accumulated by Isshiki over centuries. 10 13
- His eyes have not awakened a dōjutsu, though he can sense power developing within them and has vaguely perceived the Daikokuten Dimension. 12 31
Dead Bone Pulse
Qing Si can grow, shape, detach, and weaponize his own bones. His version of the bloodline combines the Kaguya Clan’s Dead Bone Pulse with the qualities of his emerging Ōtsutsuki heritage. 5
- Ten-Finger Bullet / Ten-Finger Drilling Bullets — Fires controlled bone projectiles from one or multiple fingers; he can shift between individual shots and rapid fire. 5 17
- Bone Shield Technique — Forms hardened bone layers beneath his skin to endure powerful impacts, including an elite jonin’s Water Dragon Bullet. 18
- Dance of the Clematis: Vine — Uses his extracted spine as a long bone whip to bind opponents. 18
- Dance of the Clematis: Flower — Forms a spiraling bone drill around his arm for close-range piercing attacks. 18 28
- Willow Dance — Grows bones from his shoulders, elbows, palms, and knees for a multi-directional close-quarters assault. 18
- Dance of the Bracken — Raises a large field of bone spikes from the ground, forcing enemies into unfavorable positions. 18
- Can create bone blades directly from his body and has used his spine as a whip to haul supplies while traveling. 10
Sensory Ability
Qing Si possesses unusually precise chakra sensing, partly developed through the knowledge inherited from Isshiki. 18 22
- Detects chakra signatures, vitality, movement, and physical condition across a wide area. 22
- Mapped a guarded residence in detail for an assassination mission without alerting its occupants. 22
- Can track enemies through the Hidden Mist Technique despite its chakra interference. 18
- Distinguished Hanzō’s concealed injuries by sensing fluctuations in his life force. 43
- Has difficulty sensing a completely motionless, concealed target; Ling only exposed himself once he moved. 18
Elemental Ninjutsu
Qing Si initially specialized in Water Release, then deliberately expanded into other chakra natures to avoid a predictable fighting style. 17 30
- Water Release — Uses Water Dragon Bullet, Water Shrapnel, Water Clones, Water Prison Technique, and a large-scale water technique called “Who Built the Dam!” 17 29
- Simplified Water Dragon Bullet — Can cast the technique using ten seals, though he knows but cannot yet perform its five- and three-seal variants. 13 17
- Earth Release — Uses Earth-Style Wall, Earth Clones, and Earth Dragon Bullet. 32
- Fire Release — Uses Fire Dragon Bullet and Fire Dragon Flame Bullet. 32 33
- Wind Release — Uses Great Breakthrough to amplify his Fire Release. 33
- Combination Ninjutsu — Created Earth Dragon Flame Bullet by combining Earth Dragon Bullet and Fire Dragon Bullet, then used Fire Dragon Blaze Bullet by combining fire and wind. 32 33
Tactical Combat
Qing Si compensates for his limited early combat experience with rapid adaptation, deception, and efficient use of information. 9 29
- Escaped Isshiki’s attempted reincarnation by using a Shadow Clone as a decoy. 9
- Uses Transformation Technique creatively, including disguising himself as a bone blade amid his own projectiles. 34
- Employs clones, feints, terrain manipulation, and sensory advantage to defeat stronger or numerically superior opponents. 29 32 34
- Held his ground against Ling, an elite jonin near Kage level, although his speed and stamina were inferior. 18
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Chakra-reinforced bone blades — A pair of blades gifted by Genji after Qing Si’s Dead Bone Pulse awakening. 4
- ANBU mask, uniform, and ninja sword — Standard equipment received upon entering Hidden Mist’s ANBU. 19
- White tomoe robe — A white outer robe embroidered with six black tomoe, worn over fitted shinobi clothing. 13
- Isshiki’s Underground Bounty Station token — Used to obtain intelligence, a detailed Land of Water map, and one million ryo. 13
- Kaguya Clan history scroll — Given by Yuan Shi; records the Kaguya Clan’s origins, its connection to Hamura Ōtsutsuki, and its bloodline relationship with the Hyuga Clan. 26
Relationships
- Kaguya Genji — Father; a former jonin and Second Mizukage’s Shadow Guard captain who trained Qing Si and sacrificed his life to save him from Isshiki. 4 9 30
- Kaguya Yukiko — Mother; her chakra-training scroll enabled Qing Si’s early training. She died after the family’s exile and deprivation. 1 2
- Kaguya Musashi — Paternal uncle and Kaguya Clan head; expelled Qing Si’s family and remains the focus of Qing Si’s resentment. 1 30
- Isshiki Ōtsutsuki — Enemy who attempted to use Qing Si as a vessel. His failed Kāma became the source of Qing Si’s vast inherited knowledge and bloodline evolution. 9 10
- Yuan Shi — Elder of Hidden Mist and surrogate grandfather; knew Qing Si’s parents and grandfather, protects Qing Si’s identity, and supports his path toward becoming Mizukage. 16 26 47
- Karatachi Yagura — ANBU teammate, friend, and “little brother” figure. They spar frequently and share a connection through their fathers’ service in the Second Mizukage’s Shadow Guard. 19 25 30 43
- Hozuki Qian Nai — ANBU teammate and close friend; an older-sister figure who challenges Qing Si in battle and supports his growth. 20 28 30
- Genji Imai / Feng — Qing Si’s former Sixth Squad captain. Qing Si later replaced him as ANBU First Division captain after Feng died on a mission. 20 31
- Suikazan Fuguki and Zi — First and Second Squad captains who challenged Qing Si’s authority, then submitted after he defeated them. 32 34
