How Dare You Interrupt My Date During the Exam

Hinata generously showed Naruto everything on her test paper, letting him take in every last detail.

Blushing, Hinata thought, Naruto is looking at my... test paper... I can be helpful too...

"Hinata," Naruto said softly. "Your handwriting is so beautiful."

Hinata felt as if her brain had been struck by lightning. She became flustered, her petite body shrinking back slightly, unsure how to respond to Naruto. Yet the joy on her face was impossible to hide.

"Oh, oh." Naruto lowered his voice even further. "Hinata, you can solve such difficult questions too. You're really amazing."

Hinata's little heart raced faster and faster. It felt like her brain was continuously overheating, as though steam might rise from the top of her head at any moment.

"I have the Byakugan," Hinata said in an extremely soft voice. "So this is all very easy for me."

"If you can stay by my side in the future, your Byakugan will be a great help to me."

"Looking to die!" A kunai sliced through the air, passing directly by Naruto's cheek before embedding itself in the desk of the person behind him.

"You cheated five times. That's all ten points deducted, and your whole team is out," said the Chunin overseeing the exam with a contemptuous look.

The person seated behind Naruto stood up and roared indignantly, "What evidence do you have that I cheated five times?!"

One of the Chunin exam proctors leaped over, stepped onto the desk, and pressed a kunai against his throat. "However many times I say you cheated is however many times you cheated. You have no right to question me. Get out!"

Naruto's expression darkened. He had just been on a date with Hinata, only for some Chunin proctor to interrupt it for no reason. How could he not be angry?

"Can you keep your voice down?" Naruto glared at the Chunin proctor. "You interrupted me while I was answering the questions, you know?"

Naruto was furious, but not because his test had been interrupted. It was because this Chunin proctor had frightened Hinata. That was unforgivable.

The Chunin proctor threw the guy who had cheated five times out of the classroom, then turned back toward Naruto. His presence was no weaker than Naruto's as he said with a smile, "This is the first time I've seen a candidate openly challenge a Chunin proctor. "This idiot really did us a huge favor," Kankuro said. "He drew most of the supervising Chunin's attention all by himself, so cheating will be much easier for us."

"That idiot," said Rock Lee, the thick-browed boy in green. "Is he really stronger than Sasuke? He doesn't look very smart."

Neji Hyuga glanced at Naruto and did not think Naruto would be his strongest opponent at all. Instead, he finally turned his gaze toward Sasuke.

Gaara, the red-haired boy carrying a gourd on his back, was also watching Naruto. His eyes were filled with deep confusion. He had previously challenged Naruto, but now he felt somewhat embarrassed. How could I have challenged someone like this? Offending a Chunin proctor brings no benefit at all. He's obviously an idiot.
