Background

Naruto’s body is inhabited by a transmigrated Naruto fan who retains knowledge of the original series but forgets his former name. After waking in Naruto Uzumaki’s room and recognizing Konoha, he accepts that he can only live as Naruto Uzumaki. His foreknowledge becomes the foundation of his efforts to alter expected events. 1

He initially hides much of his competence behind a foolish, boastful persona. During Team 7’s early missions, he collaborates with Kakashi to expose Tazuna’s lie, manipulates Haku into attacking Sasuke to awaken the Sharingan, and secretly protects Sasuke from lethal harm throughout the encounter. 9 17 20

After defeating Danzo, Naruto learns that he is the son of Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki. Danzo’s testimony also leads him to a hidden Uzumaki estate in Konoha, where Naruto begins reclaiming knowledge connected to his clan and parents. 84 85
