The Shi Brothers immediately nodded. The two let out deep roars at the same time, and their second Soul Rings abruptly lit up. A faint glow appeared around the edges of their shells.

"Shield Transformation!"

The Shi Brothers growled in perfect unison. The tortoise shells on their chests and backs strangely separated, landing in their hands and turning into two enormous tortoise-shell shields a meter across.

Without their shells, the two of them became much shorter than their original forms before summoning their Martial Souls. They looked as though they had been drained dry, their bodies far thinner, as if those shells had been formed from their bones and blood essence.

The Shi Brothers stood at the front and rear of the circular defensive formation. With four shields in total, they protected everyone.
