The Mangekyō Sharingan was incredibly effective when used against Spirit Masters far weaker than its wielder.
With Genjutsu clearing the way, Yang Ming and his group entered the Inner City without anyone noticing anything amiss. They were simply treated as members of the Elephant Armor Sect.
Of course, if the Mangekyō Sharingan faced a Spirit Master stronger than its wielder, its effect would be greatly diminished. However, given that Yang Ming already had one foot in the Spirit King realm, it would take at least a Spirit King to contend with his Genjutsu.
Spirit Kings had already entered the ranks of the backbone of the Spirit Master world. They were not people one could casually encounter, and in smaller cities, a Spirit King-level expert was a dominant figure in their own right.
Within the Elephant Armor Sect, Spirit King-level experts served as guest elders and held lofty status. They usually handled business outside the sect or taught at Elephant Armor Academy, making them even harder to meet.
Only enormous forces like Spirit Hall, which gathered large numbers of Spirit King experts and trained them into legions, would have them appearing in clusters.
Yang Ming's eyes flickered. Taking advantage of no one paying attention, he seized an Elephant Armor Sect disciple.
This disciple was similarly grotesquely obese, weighing at least three hundred pounds. Layers of pale fat piled over his body, and the instant Yang Ming grabbed him, panic flashed through his eyes as he opened his mouth to cry out.
Fortunately, Yang Ming promptly used the Mangekyō Sharingan's Genjutsu to stop him from shouting. Otherwise, he would definitely have drawn the attention of those nearby.
Like an old friend, Yang Ming warmly patted his shoulder and said with a smile,
