(Third update)
"...So that was it. You channel Soul Power into the soles of your feet?"
Purple-gold light flickered in Tang San's eyes as he studied the footprints Yang Ming and the others had left behind, deep in thought.
Soul Power had an extremely wide range of applications. Among Advanced Spirit Masters, one could use fluctuations in Soul Power to perceive every movement within two hundred meters, or channel Soul Power into one's eyes to reach the level of catching the wind and grasping shadows. Although such acquired abilities were innately inferior to abilities like the Rinnegan and Purple-Gold Demon Eyes, they greatly expanded a Spirit Master's combat options.
After Tang San explained the key points to Ma Hongjun and Oscar, he began trying to circulate his Soul Power.
In fact, back at Noding City Junior Soul Master Academy, teachers had taught them how to use Soul Power. For example, a tenth-rank Spirit Master needed to learn how to spread Soul Power across the entire body to strengthen its resistance to attacks, or channel it into the limbs to improve mobility and offensive power.
However, those methods of application were all rather crude.
Channeling Soul Power into one's feet was a process of refining its control. It required considerable spiritual power to accomplish, which was why Advanced Spirit Masters could succeed at it so easily.
Many things in this world were easier said than done.
Though refined control of Soul Power sounded simple and seemed easy enough, when Tang San tried to concentrate it, waves of stinging pain surged from beneath his feet.
As mentioned before, Soul Power differed from chakra. Soul Power was more aggressive. If it merely covered the body, one would not feel anything obvious, but with refined control, one would discover just how violent it was.
