Background / History

Alice is described as a human who became a Magician before entering Gensokyo. Though somewhat reclusive, she welcomes humans lost in the Magic Forest into her mansion for shelter. She later left the Demon World during a rebellious period and made her home in Gensokyo. 238 845

When Marisa brought Mo Yi to meet her, Alice initially assumed he was another human in need of assistance. Mo Yi's interest in her grimoire led instead to an exchange of magical knowledge: he taught her foundational Rune Magic concepts, including coding and artificial-intelligence principles. 240 252

Mo Yi later presented Alice with an Automaton Girl made from Eve's heart and a ceramic figure. The gift fulfilled Alice's long-held wish to create a sentient doll; she named the girl Aili and accepted her as a younger sister. 251
