Starting in the Type-Moon World, but an A Certain Magical Index Magician

During this time, he had analyzed and studied his peculiar magic power, the power originating from Yog-Sothoth. But this was, after all, an enormous ritual. Even if it had succeeded, the original ritual site had already been destroyed, so there was no way to continue drawing down that power.

But if he wanted to activate such a ritual again, he would have to base the ritual process on stories containing the deeds of Yog-Sothoth.

In other words, if he truly wanted to draw upon the mysterious power of Yog-Sothoth again, he needed to create a disaster according to the story in which Yog-Sothoth appeared!

This was also why the world of A Certain Magical Index so despised Cthulhu Mythos magicians. Even if such rituals would ultimately fail because of the stories themselves, they would inevitably cause countless casualties in the process.

Even knowing that the magicians performing Cthulhu rituals would most likely be killed by whatever they summoned, nearly every magic cabal would kill any magician playing with Cthulhu Mythos magic on sight, simply because of the destruction and harm it could inflict upon innocents.

Just imagine summoning an evil god that could drive people mad merely by being seen into a city. How terrifying would the consequences be?!

That was why Mephistopheles's research had progressed so slowly.

But what had just happened gave Mephistopheles a spark of inspiration.

"Come to think of it, the Type-Moon World also has Outer Gods from Cthulhu, right? Even if the two worlds are different, the ones here should be genuine Outer Gods. Their settings are fairly similar too, so could I summon this world's Yog-Sothoth? No, even summoning just a portion of its power for further research would be enough...

"Even if there are differences between the two beings, there should be many similarities as well. Combined with something like the Root, perhaps I can analyze it much faster..."

At that thought, Mephistopheles burst into laughter. While Medea looked at him in confusion, he suddenly kissed her on the lips, then sprang to his feet and rushed toward the study.

As he ran, he muttered, "I have to try it. It's absolutely worth trying!"

The Poison Brought by Knowledge

The magic circle on the ground had been constructed using magical knowledge he had learned in the Type-Moon World, and the incantation had likewise been learned here.

It did not matter that he had no Holy Grail as a foundation. He directly linked it to the Root, using the name of the Lord as its core to construct a magic circle with defensive effects.

After completing those preparations, the magic circle began to activate along with Mephistopheles's chant. Magic power surged, resonating with something distant.

This was a Servant-summoning ritual, and there was no need for any holy relic. Mephistopheles, who already wielded the power of a complete Yog-Sothoth descent ritual, was himself the finest holy relic.

Was he going to summon that maiden who served the gods?

No. Even a maiden who served the gods, even one with ties to Yog-Sothoth, could not reach Mephistopheles's current level!

At that moment, what emerged from the magic circle was something inhuman, something even formless!

It was an existence composed entirely of magic power, shaped like a bubble. Yet merely looking at that illusory, bubble-like structure was enough to sense the terrifying energy contained within!

It held the power of time and space!

The special magic circle Mephistopheles had placed around the Servant-summoning ritual took effect. The overflowing energy was fully contained within it. This was not Yog-Sothoth's true body, merely power leaking from its existence, yet even that power seemed to possess self-awareness at this moment.

The four letters YHVH began to glow. Special triangles formed a strange circle, transforming into a seal that completely restrained this power originating from an Outer God and prevented it from leaking out.

But if he wanted power, if he wanted to learn secrets, then he had to make contact with it!

Mephistopheles stepped forward and entered the magic circle.

Then he felt the impact. Knowledge became a raging storm, drilling ceaselessly into his mind. Though he had long protected his eyes, blood still flowed from them and dripped onto the ground.

Under the extreme pain, he felt his brain operating madly. At that moment, he even had the thought: Everything I understood in the past was wrong.

This was poison—a mystery that destroyed everything and drove people mad. Although Mephistopheles was already a magician who had come into contact with countless mysteries, he still suffered an enormous shock.

With a muffled grunt, Mephistopheles spat out a mouthful of blood. As the blood fell onto the ground, he immediately recovered somewhat from that state where his worldview seemed to be collapsing. He swiftly leaped backward and began casting the ritual in reverse, sending that mysterious existence back!

If he had been an ordinary person, that brief contact would surely have driven him insane.

Lightly wiping away the magic circle on the ground with his foot, Mephistopheles coughed and collapsed onto the floor.

He heard hurried voices. Soon, two girls' faces appeared before him. Both Medea and Artemis wore expressions of intense worry.

"Mephistopheles, what's wrong with you?!" Medea crouched down in panic, grasping Mephistopheles's arm and gently shaking him, not daring to use too much force. After confirming that his current condition was temporarily stable, Artemis said softly, "It's fine. He seems to have suffered some kind of mental shock. He'll be fine after resting."

Then she glanced at the mostly erased magic circle on the ground and asked in confusion, "What was he doing? Was he conducting another magic experiment?"

Just moments ago, she had suddenly sensed a terrifying power appearing here—deep and tranquil. She had originally thought Mephistopheles might be conducting a magic experiment, but then she heard the sound of him collapsing to the floor. When she rushed over, she found that something had indeed gone wrong.

Although she had reassured Medea, Artemis was still extremely nervous inside.

The magic circle had been destroyed. Without knowing what the circle was, she could not analyze what he had done. Some magic could inflict unpredictable harm that might not become apparent for some time.

"Cough, cough, cough. I'm fine. Stop shaking me. If you keep this up, my bones are going to fall apart..." Mephistopheles coughed out several more mouthfuls of blood, but he still had the leisure to tease her, showing that he was doing reasonably well.

"What magic did you use?!" Seeing that Mephistopheles was still conscious, Artemis hurriedly asked, "If you pass out later, I can look into how to treat you."

"Just a very simple Servant summoning... It's just that what I summoned wasn't human. You could call it a part of a god... Seeing how devout I was, it stuffed a pile of knowledge into my head. It was a little too enthusiastic..."

Mephistopheles muttered as he lay on the ground, even taking the time to carefully examine the additional things in his mind.

There was not much content, but it was indeed knowledge he needed—some basic knowledge regarding time-and-space magic that would allow Mephistopheles to understand more quickly how to use his own power.

Though their systems had indeed changed somewhat and differed in certain aspects, Mephistopheles found that many things could still be used as reference.

But almost everything else was what was known as poison.

In the past, magicians had learned magic by reading magic books, the so-called Magic Grimoires. Taoist alchemical classics such as the Baopuzi were also grimoires—not the copies made for ordinary people, but books that genuinely possessed magic power.

They concealed forbidden knowledge and yearned for that knowledge to spread, yet their own power also caused anyone who read them to suffer a tremendous shock.

Once this poison accumulated continuously, it would cause a person to break down, go mad, and die!

Therefore, as a magician, one also had to learn how to purge poison. Judging by Mephistopheles's own level, it would take him at least ten-odd days to completely remove the poison he had absorbed.

In other words, he had no choice but to stay put and behave himself for more than ten days.

After all, this poison could even spread through certain special acts. It might cause whoever made love with him to become pregnant with some terrifying little creature bearing the traits of an evil god.

"Could you carry me back into the house?" Mephistopheles smiled at the two of them. "Lying on the ground all the time makes it feel rather hard."

A Fun Game

Medea sighed as she sat alone on an antique wooden chair in the courtyard, its wood carrying a faint scent of pine. Her gaze drifted from time to time toward the equally finely crafted wooden room on the second floor.

The afterglow of the setting sun filtered through sparse clouds, falling across the wooden eaves and window latticework, lending this scene from the era of ancient Greek mythology a touch of warmth tinged with loneliness.

That loneliness made the girl's gaze more resentful.

Complex emotions churned within her. Loneliness and solitude spread silently, like the evening chill. Medea's fingers unconsciously curled around the tender leaves of a nearby vine, and her eyes revealed a girl's distinctive sensitivity and delicacy.

"Medea!" At that moment, Artemis's voice burst into the tranquil scene like warm spring sunlight. Wearing a mischievous smile, she quietly approached from behind Medea and suddenly wrapped her in an embrace, gently rubbing her cheek against Medea's as if she could understand every subtle ripple in her heart.

The moon goddess wore a playful expression as she lightly pinched Medea's cheek and said something shocking. "Want some?"

It had to be said that although Artemis was a goddess who had never made love herself, she could still put on the air of someone very experienced when she spoke.

If she went to the future and became a netizen who loved surfing the internet, she would surely adapt very well.

"N-No!" Medea hurriedly denied it with a blush, but when she saw Artemis's smiling eyes, she finally nodded and softly said, "Mm..."

After having tasted intimacy for the first time, suddenly being unable to continue was rather painful.

"It's fine. He's probably just like you. After all, he has to rest properly right now and can't do anything." Artemis glanced toward the second floor and muttered, "Serves him right! That's what he gets for messing around with magic experiments!!"

Then Artemis's eyes suddenly lit up, and she smiled. "Right, you can tease him!"

"Tease him?" Medea froze slightly.

Artemis said, "Look at the state he's in now. Tease him until he's all worked up, then don't let him do anything about it. Play with him like that a few times, and he probably won't dare mess around so recklessly in the future!"

"This..." Medea was completely stunned. She had not expected Artemis to come up with such an amazing idea, but why did it sound so fun? Just that simple sentence had already made Medea eager to give it a try!

So after roughly one second of "lengthy" consideration and intense internal struggle, Medea decided to follow Artemis's advice and teach Mephistopheles a proper lesson!

Mephistopheles was currently working hard to study the additional knowledge in his mind. Since he could no longer indulge in lewd things, he naturally redirected that motivation toward studying, because he was a "diligent" person.

"Sure enough, when it comes to space and time—or rather, unified spacetime—whether it is the bubbles of this world or the bubbles of another world, their corresponding magical formulas share certain common points.

"These common points originate from the most fundamental theories of time and space. Their later applications may diverge due to different systems, but the principle of weaving formulas based on the most fundamental characteristics will not change. I only need to make some transformations to this method of application and incorporate it into my own magic..."

The detoxification was still ongoing. Fortunately, it was progressing slightly faster than Mephistopheles had expected. He suspected it was because his compatibility with Yog-Sothoth was somewhat high. In fact, he had already expelled almost all the poison today, with only the final trace remaining.

But since he had said that he needed to rest for roughly ten-odd days, he would naturally abide by his own words—unless he encountered an irresistible force.

He gently raised a hand. Reflections of the four great elements—earth, wind, water, and fire—appeared around him, while a phantom also manifested before Mephistopheles.

The phantom resembled a staff, but compared to the red wooden rod representing the fire element, it looked more like a silvery-white existence, with something resembling a blooming flower at its tip.

It represented the fifth element: Ether!

The five elements gathered, entwining and combining with one another. In the end, magic power condensed at Mephistopheles's fingertips. He slowly traced characters through the air. These characters were pure descriptions, yet their appearance drew forth more magic power and began to affect reality.

Space twisted!

Time bent along with it!

This was not accomplished by relying on some massive object like a "black hole." He simply caused spacetime itself to change out of thin air.

"So it works. If I continue, I should be able to tear apart time and space, perhaps even break through the barriers of the world."

Mephistopheles muttered as he dispelled the magic before him. As the magic power faded, he lay back comfortably on the bed and fell into thought.

"When will the Argo incident begin? Why do I feel like a player stuck in a content drought, waiting for the officials to release a new quest..."

As he muttered, he heard the door open. The first thing that entered his vision was a head of long purple hair, followed by the girl's slightly mischievous smile.

"Mephistopheles, shall we play?"

Looking at Medea's obviously ill-intentioned expression, Mephistopheles immediately wanted to see what trick she was planning. He replied, "Play what?"

"I'm just bored by myself, so I came to chat with you!" Medea said as she slowly walked over.

She gently swayed her body, making her petite figure look exceptionally alluring. Then, with a light turn, she sat down at the edge of Mephistopheles's bed.

She was very close—close enough for him to smell the fresh scent of grass and wood on her body.

As though she had suddenly lost all strength, she leaned against Mephistopheles's shoulder and softly asked, "How about I feed you some wine?"

"Sure." Mephistopheles looked at her. He could probably already guess what she intended to do.

But what Medea did next still made Mephistopheles's eyes widen.

Medea took out a jug of wine and directly poured it into her own mouth, then gently kissed him!

"Mm..."

The wine was indeed fragrant and sweet, but the teasing was even more deadly. Seeing Mephistopheles's breathing grow somewhat hurried, Medea giggled and immediately stood up, intending to flee.

But her hand was caught!

Seeing this, Medea hurriedly cried, "Your body still isn't well! You can't mess around!"

But how could Mephistopheles let go? He merely chuckled. "My body has recovered. It recovered much faster than I expected!"

When Medea heard that, she had just started to resist when he suddenly pulled her over, causing her to fall heavily into his arms. Feeling the heat emanating from his chest, she struggled slightly, but soon lost all strength. Her cheeks reddened as she slowly closed her eyes.

How could a girl who had been holding back for several days possibly keep holding back now!

The answer to the question is Hedgehog Cat.

There aren't many people yet, so everyone is welcome to come chat. The author may pop up from time to time as well.

The second update should be out in a few hours. I'll do my best to keep updating during the daytime.

Also, to answer the earlier question, the image of the moon goddess from FGO was simply too lewd, so it couldn't pass review.

Give Her "Anti-Dragon Special Attack"

Apparently, in some manga, this sort of thing was called "having a damn good time."

Mephistopheles felt that phrase was very accurate. It really had been a damn good time.

But none of that was particularly important. What mattered was that he could finally bounce around and do other things again.

"What are you doing here?" Artemis asked Mephistopheles curiously. Naturally, Medea was there as well.

Aside from Mephistopheles wanting to cause trouble himself, this operation was mainly for Medea's sake. Because of the Type-Moon World's peculiarities, he wanted to add some special achievements to Medea's legend.

This was a volcano called Mount Etna.

Although Mephistopheles had not gone to the Clock Tower, it was not because he was arrogant. In truth, while at Westminster School, he had always been busy with many things. There was naturally no need to mention the four Mystic Codes on him representing the four elements, nor the special outfit he wore.
