Background

Shiki is summoned by Shen He as a four-star rare Servant while unconscious, appearing in a white hospital gown after the accident that placed her in a three-year coma. Shen recognizes that he has summoned her during the period in which she is cut off from the outside world and observing the Void. He handles her carefully and places her in bed. 30

Shen keeps Shiki under medical care while she remains unconscious, refusing to abandon her despite uncertainty over whether she will ever awaken. During this time, she is moved with Shen and Violet to a Chinatown hotel inherited by Shen. 32 36 42
