Apocalypse thought back briefly. This should be the plot of Captain America: Civil War.
In the original story, Captain America: Civil War had two main plotlines.
One was the Sokovia Accords, which split the superheroes into two factions and sparked a civil war.
It all stemmed from Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, Captain America, and the others going to Sokovia on a mission.
Unable to defeat them, the villain tried to detonate a bomb.
Scarlet Witch contained the energy of the explosion, trying to direct it into the sky.
As it rose, it moved farther and farther away from her, until she lost control and the bomb's energy erupted in midair.
Half of a high-rise was blown apart, leaving countless people dead or injured.
Afterward, countless citizens, along with the government, condemned the superheroes for their mistakes and irresponsibility. Some even believed the superheroes themselves were the root of all this misfortune.
And so the Sokovia Accords were drafted in an attempt to restrict the Avengers.
The accords had only one purpose: all operations had to follow orders.
In his previous life, Apocalypse had thought these accords were utterly unreasonable.
The superheroes worked so hard to protect the world, yet when mistakes along the way caused collateral damage, the politicians and citizens blamed their protectors instead of the villains.
How foolish and disheartening was that?!
Now, Apocalypse had a different perspective, and he saw straight through the scheme.
The civilians were foolish to blame the superheroes.
They neither dared to confront the villains nor could find them, so they turned their guns on the good guys instead.
But the politicians weren't fools. Fools couldn't play the political game.
Rather than defending the Avengers, they fanned the flames. Clearly, they had ulterior motives.
Politicians were accustomed to standing above everyone else and
