Background

Shrek Academy years

Wu Changkong trained at Shrek Academy under Old Long, the previous wielder of the Heavenfrost Sword and a renowned swordsman. Old Long taught him that the Heavenfrost Sword existed to protect rather than kill. Wu rose from Shrek’s Outer Court to the Inner Court, gaining the reputation of the “Ice Man” for his formidable skill, emotional distance, and relentlessly cold sword aura. 72 74

During his time at Shrek, Wu formed a quiet bond with a girl who often read beside the Inner Court lake. She gave him his first sword tassel, but later died on a mission. Devastated, Wu froze the lake for three days, abandoned his graduation certificate, and left Shrek without bidding Old Long farewell. 72 74

Eastsea Academy

Wu eventually settled at Eastsea Academy, where he became its strongest expert and served as an instructor. His Heavenfrost Sword backlash left him with old injuries that required continued recovery treatment and medication. 25 34
