"Die, brat!!"
Lao G grinned viciously and threw a punch. A shockwave burst from his fist and shot toward Ian, making the air tremble beneath its force. It bore down on Ian, leaving him nowhere to dodge!
A red glint flashed through Ian's eyes. His Observation Haki sensed the attack, and he narrowed his eyes. This punch was extremely powerful by ordinary standards; it could even smash a small mountain to pieces.
But for him, it was not enough. Far from enough!
"Is that all?" Ian chuckled. Armament Haki covered his fist as he punched forward, colliding with the shockwave in a thunderous explosion.
Yet after only a brief pause, Ian's fist easily shattered the shockwave, gouging enormous trenches into the surrounding walls and ground. The entire little shop began to sway precariously.
The tremendous noise drew countless gazes toward them...
"How is this possible!!" Lao G's face went completely pale as he sank into profound despair. His all-out attack had actually...
"There's nothing impossible about it. You're simply too weak!" Ian completely lost interest. He flashed in front of Lao G and kicked him away, sending him flying into the distance as blood continuously sprayed from his mouth!
"Any last words?" Ian walked over step by step, a gentle smile on his lips. But in Lao G's eyes, it was as terrifying as a cursed fruit!
No, I have to save myself... Huge beads of sweat slid down Lao G's face. Sensing Ian's killing intent, he panicked and hurriedly pulled out a Den Den Mushi. "Wait, our boss wants to speak with you!"
"Your boss? Heavenly Yaksha?" As soon as Lao G spoke, Ian stopped moving and examined the strange creature with interest. So this was the Den Den Mushi of the pirate world?
"Fufufu..." At that moment, a highly distinctive laugh came from the Den Den Mushi in Lao G's hand. "Lao G, what happened over there?"
When Lao G took out the Den Den Mushi, he had already called Donquixote Doflamingo. Hearing his boss's voice and seeing Ian stop, Lao G breathed a sigh of relief and quickly gave a simple account of what had happened.
"..." The other end of the Den Den Mushi fell silent for a moment before it spoke. "Tell me, what price will make you spare Lao G..."
"Are you Heavenly Yaksha Donquixote Doflamingo?" Ian grinned, clearly intrigued.
Ian knew a little about Donquixote Doflamingo. He was an ambitious tyrant with ruthless methods. He never showed mercy to anything that threatened him, had zero tolerance for betrayal, and was cruel enough to kill even his own younger brother!
"Oh? You know my title?"
"One of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, Heavenly Yaksha. Naturally, your reputation is resounding."
"Then... can you spare my subordinate?"
"That depends on how great a price you can pay!"
Donquixote Doflamingo narrowed his eyes on the other end of the Den Den Mushi. "What do you want?"
Ian said, "I heard your family is wealthy and powerful. How about giving me a few Devil Fruits to play with?"
A fierce gleam appeared in Donquixote Doflamingo's eyes. "Are you playing with me?"
Even the most ordinary Devil Fruit was worth a hundred million Beli. No matter how wealthy and powerful he was, handing over several would still cost him dearly. Even if he had them, he would never give them away because someone threatened him!
"How could I? It's just that if the price isn't enough, I won't easily let your man go." Ian remained unmoved.
"Looks like you intend to oppose me?"
"Hehe... Your man provoked me first, Donquixote Doflamingo!"
"Fufufu, defeating Lao G proves you aren't weak. But... that isn't enough for you to provoke my Donquixote Family..." There was a faint threat in Donquixote Doflamingo's words.
Ian laughed. "How domineering. But threats alone won't scare me off!"
"Fufufu, it seems you truly intend to oppose my Donquixote Family! If you do, there will be no place for you on these seas..." Donquixote Doflamingo laughed, no longer concealing the threat in his tone!
"Heh, do you think you're one of the Four Emperors? Or the World Government? Someone who only hides in the shadows and plays petty tricks dares say something like that? Don't you find it laughable?" Ian grinned in disdain. "Since you have no sincerity, I can only kill someone!"
"This is the first time anyone has dared speak to me like this! Boy, I'll show you why I dare say such things!" Donquixote Doflamingo said coldly.
"You talk too much!" Ian snorted and directly stabbed Lao G through the body, making Lao G let out a piercing scream!
Listening to the scream coming from the Den Den Mushi, Donquixote Doflamingo's expression twisted into something terrifying. That damned bastard had actually done it! Damn him!
"You've got guts, boy! Pray that I never find you, or I'll torture you to death!" Even through the Den Den Mushi, Donquixote Doflamingo's voice inspired fear.
"Is that so? Then I'll be waiting for you!! You'd better not die before you meet me!" After saying that, Ian hung up the Den Den Mushi!
Then he looked at Lao G lying on the ground, smiled, and stabbed him to death with a single thrust!
If Donquixote Doflamingo himself were here, could he force out my Bankai? Ian thought to himself, but quickly shook his head. Since he had killed Lao G, Donquixote Doflamingo would probably come for him soon. Even if he did not, Ian would go find him!
He was really looking forward to it!
"Boss, I'm terribly sorry for turning your shop into this!" Under the owner's terrified gaze, Ian took the Beli from Lao G and placed it on the table. "This is for my meal, as well as the repairs for the things in your shop."
With that, he walked out under the owner's astonished gaze.
[ Ding! Mission completed! Reward: one lottery draw opportunity! Ability obtained—Conqueror's Haki! ]
"Oh, the mission is complete!"
Ian was pleasantly surprised and directly fused with the Conqueror's Haki.
At once, Ian felt his entire temperament change. A peculiar sensation welled up within him, and his gaze sharpened.
With a buzz, space itself seemed to freeze.
A wave of force swept outward, knocking everyone around him unconscious with foam spilling from their mouths!
Ian felt apologetic toward the people he had knocked out...
As he quietly sensed it, he realized that Conqueror's Haki was entirely different from the aura he had released earlier.
If his previous aura was a bodily oppression, then Conqueror's Haki was an assault on the soul!
Still, both were forms of oppression. Perhaps the reason Red-Haired Shanks could use something as intangible as Conqueror's Haki to crack objects was because he mixed it with aura pressure?
I could try it... Ian thought.
"Forget it, I should draw first..." Ian remembered that he still had one lottery draw opportunity, so he decided to use it!
[ Ding! Skill obtained: Dimensional Space! ]
Dimensional Space?
Ian was somewhat surprised. What did it do?
He opened the description.
[ Dimensional Space: Able to open a space belonging to oneself, capable of storing items! ]
A storage function?
It was quite a convenient skill. In the future, he would no longer need to carry large bags and small bundles on himself!
Not a bad haul!
Where should he go next?
Ian pondered as he walked.
Before long, Ian arrived at a harbor, where a merchant ship was preparing to depart. He truly had no idea where to go, so he might as well travel with this merchant ship!
