"Bone Douluo taking the defense path and becoming a Titled Douluo only proves that the Bone Dragon Martial Soul can take the defense path. It does not prove that the Bone Dragon Martial Soul can only take the defense path."

"When Soul Masters choose a cultivation direction, they should do so based on all the characteristics of their martial souls, not because they see what path some predecessor took and force all later generations to follow behind him."

"If every Soul Master with the same martial soul could only take one path, then why would Soul Masters need to study their own martial souls? Wouldn't it be enough to simply copy the Soul Rings of those who came before?"

At this point, Gu Ling paused slightly.
