Personality

Qin Ming is a pragmatic and protective instructor. While Ye Lingling absorbs her Soul Ring, he initially restrains his power to avoid disturbing her and to conserve strength in the dangerous Star Dou Great Forest; after she is nearly ambushed, he immediately prepares to end the battle with his sixth Soul Skill 26.

He recognizes exceptional talent without blindly encouraging recklessness. Qin Ming repeatedly warns Gu Ling that absorbing a five-thousand-year third Soul Ring could destroy his meridians or kill him, but ultimately respects Gu Ling's informed decision and assists him in repayment for saving Ye Lingling 27.

As a mentor, he prioritizes real combat experience and adjusts training when his team outgrows its opponents. He recruits Gu Ling despite Heaven Dou Imperial Academy's noble-only rule, pairs him with Ye Lingling, and later leads the team through multiple cities to seek stronger Soul Arena opponents 29 30 35 36.

Qin Ming led Yu Tianheng, Dugu Yan, and Ye Lingling into the Star Dou Great Forest while Ye Lingling absorbed her third Soul Ring. He fought an Earthbone Demon Armor Beast alone with his Blazing Fire Wolf Martial Soul, while Yu Tianheng and Dugu Yan guarded Ye Lingling from lesser soul beasts 23.

When a second Earthbone Demon Armor Beast ambushed Ye Lingling, Qin Ming was unable to reach her immediately because the larger beast blocked his path. Gu Ling intervened first, rescuing Ye Lingling with spatial movement and killing the attacker 25. Qin Ming later agreed to weaken the larger beast for Gu Ling after learning that Gu Ling wanted its Soul Ring, considering it repayment for saving Ye Lingling 27.

Before agreeing, Qin Ming warned that five thousand years greatly exceeded the usual third Soul Ring absorption limit. He offered to help locate a younger Earthbone Demon Armor Beast instead, but reconsidered after seeing Gu Ling's thousand-year second Soul Ring and hearing his explanation of his exceptional physique and physical training 27.

Shrek Academy Reunion

The Imperial Dou Team defeated Shrek Academy at the Soto Great Soul Arena, with Flender conceding after Tang San was overwhelmed. Yu Xiaogang then demanded a rematch and accused the Imperial Dou Team of excessive violence, prompting Gu Ling to publicly challenge his accusations, theories, and conduct 57 58.

Qin Ming witnessed the dispute from beginning to end. He judged that the Imperial Dou Team had committed no rule violations and that Zhu Zhuqing's refusal to perform a Martial Soul Fusion Skill indicated an internal problem within Shrek rather than an unfair match. Yu Xiaogang's accusations caused Qin Ming's opinion of him to deteriorate sharply 58.

After Flender restrained Tang San's attempted post-match attack on Gu Ling, Qin Ming emerged from the contestant passage and respectfully greeted Flender and Zhao Wuji.
