Hai Ming defeated the King of Slaughter, secured the Shura God Sword for Zhu Zhuqing, and helped her begin the Asura and Sea God trials. After returning to Sea God Island, he set out alone to conquer the sea while Zhu Zhuqing continued her trials.

• Hai Ming subdued the King of Slaughter, revealed the Nine-Headed Blood-Red Bat King within Tang Chen, and claimed the Shura God Sword for Zhu Zhuqing’s inheritance.
• Tang Chen left Slaughter City for Sea God Island, and Hai Ming made Malphite the new King of Slaughter while Zhu Zhuqing and Hu Liena challenged Hell Road together.
• Zhu Zhuqing received Asura’s Nine Trials, completed the first by challenging Malphite, and began her second trial to reach Titled Douluo rank.
• Hai Ming recovered the Sea God’s Heart from Dugu Bo and left for Sea God Island with Zhu Zhuqing after warning him about Xue Qinghe and Qian Renxue.
• Hai Ming and Zhu Zhuqing discovered Wolf Bandits massacring villagers, and Hai Ming learned a divine-inheritance Soul Beast king had ordered the attacks.
• Poseidon granted Zhu Zhuqing Black-Level Eight Trials, while Hai Ming learned his fifth Sea God trial required him to defeat all seven Sacred Pillar Guardians.
• Hai Ming sparred with Sea Dragon and trained as Zhu Zhuqing struggled through Sea God’s Light, determined to help him with his trials.
• After sparring with Tang Chen and summoning a vast phantom, Hai Ming announced he would conquer the sea and departed alone as Zhu Zhuqing continued her trials.

Hai Ming subdued sea beasts, returned to Sea God Island, and completed his fifth trial before pulling the Sea God's Trident free. After Zhu Zhuqing passed her second trial, they set out with their companions to challenge the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, and a captured Deep-Sea Void Whale revealed a hundred-thousand-year Soul Bone.

• Hai Ming earned the Devil Octopus King's faith, crossed a storm, and fought the Ghost White Marlin Emperor, which surrendered and became his boatman.
• Hai Ming defeated the Evil Orca King, absorbed its Soul Ring and Soul Bone, and returned to Sea God Island, where Zhu Zhuqing welcomed him.
• Zhu Zhuqing revealed her new assisting Soul Skill, and she and Hai Ming fought Bo Saixi and Tang Chen together during his fifth-trial test.
• Hai Ming defeated the Sacred Pillar Guardians, then pulled the Sea God's Trident from its platform and named it the Wishful Trident.
• Zhu Zhuqing defeated Little White, passed her second trial, and learned that her third trial required her to watch sunsets and sunrises with Hai Ming at ten locations.
• Hai Ming and Zhu Zhuqing left with Bo Saixi, Tang Chen, and Sea Dragon to hunt the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, while Big White revealed he had found a dolphin companion.
• A Deep-Sea Void Whale attacked the boat, then surrendered a hundred-thousand-year torso Soul Bone as ransom, and Hai Ming healed it before asking about the Whale-Fall Grounds.

Hai Ming defeated the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, then reunited with the Shrek Seven Monsters and helped Tang San restore Xiao Wu. The Speed Clan joined the Tang Sect, while Xiao Wu received the Beast God’s Nine Trials and Tang San gained new rewards from the Beast God.

• Hai Ming killed the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King, absorbed its Soul Ring and Soul Bone, and returned to Zhu Zhuqing after reaching level ninety-nine.
• The Shrek Seven Monsters reunited at Shrek Academy, where Tang San revealed that Xiao Wu had sacrificed herself and Hai Ming uncovered divine powers bound to her soul.
• Hai Ming cleansed the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger from Xiao Wu’s Soul Ring and warned Tang San that she had three years to be resurrected.
• Hai Ming exposed Qian Renxue’s impersonation of Xue Qinghe at the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, then allowed her to leave after she explained the coup and the Emotion God’s influence.
• Tang San sought the Crystal Blood Dragon Ginseng from his great-uncle Bai He, and the Speed Clan agreed to join the Tang Sect in exchange for hidden weapons and Bai Chenxiang’s experience with Tang San.
• Tang San used the Crystal Blood Dragon Ginseng to restore Xiao Wu’s ability to possess her body, then chose to give her his Soul Ring and left arm Soul Bone despite being permanently limited to rank seventy-nine.
• Hai Ming completed Xiao Wu’s restoration, granted her the Beast God’s Nine Trials, and gave Tang San a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Ring and the Beast God’s Left Arm Bone.

Hai Ming and the Shrek group traveled to Sea God Island, where they received divine assessments and Zhu Zhuqing advanced through her trials. After collecting Soul Bones and returning to the island, Zhu Zhuqing decisively defeated Tang San and his companions in a group battle.

• Tang San’s group drove Bishop Mars from the restaurant, then confronted an avatar of the seven-black-ringed woman who tried to recruit Hai Ming.
• Hai Ming and Zhu Zhuqing faced Bibi Dong and Qian Daoliu in Spirit City, where Hai Ming defeated Qian Daoliu and learned that Qian Renxue had begun the Angel Trial.
• Xue Qinghe withdrew from the succession, and Xue Ke became empress before Tang San’s group sailed to Sea God Island and received their assessments.
• Hai Ming’s friends began their trials as Zhu Zhuqing absorbed her seventh Soul Ring and revealed her Netherworld Rakshasa Avatar.
• Hai Ming killed three Emperor Qian Jun Ants and later collected eleven Soul Bones from corrupted Soul Beasts, using them to restore his Dark-type Plate to two-thirds completion.
• After Zhu Zhuqing returned to Sea God Island, she defeated Ma Hongjun in seconds and then beat Tang San’s team in a group battle.
• Zhu Zhuqing explained that Tang San’s team had failed to coordinate and urged him to make his Blue Silver Grass into a poisoned, sharp hidden-weapon arsenal.
