Lu Yuan selected Tang Wutong from three available rank-97 protectors, favoring her youth, appearance, and dual martial souls over Song Yunzhi and Feng Ling. She subsequently arrived at his residence with the hundred-year Ice Dragon Wings External Soul Bone, guarded him through its fusion, and accompanied him into the Great Star Dou Forest for his first Sky-Propelling Spear Soul Ring. 1 2 3
