Background

Madara initially monitors Obito through White Zetsu, but White Zetsu’s discovery of Hideki’s Sharingan causes him to alter his plans. Rather than immediately killing Hideki, Madara begins considering him a potential pawn due to his Uchiha bloodline and unusual importance to Obito 108 125.

After White Zetsu captures Hideki following the battle with the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, Madara attempts to frame their meeting around shared Uchiha blood and fate. Hideki refuses to be intimidated, attacks the life-support system’s guardian directly, and forces Madara to reveal Susanoo. Madara ultimately escapes with White Zetsu after ordering a restriction placed in Hideki’s body 132 133 134.

Madara later tries to isolate Hideki by exposing his Uchiha identity and exploiting Konoha’s supposed hypocrisy.
