Li Yu Visits Nüwa, the Human Race Is Born

After hearing Li Yu's words, Taiqing said nothing more. He merely nodded lightly, indicating his approval of Li Yu's reasoning.

Taiqing did not think much of taking in an Azure Ox and an Immortal Deer. The main reason he had come was the karmic connection between the Immortal Deer and Li Yu. He could not simply make a decision without considering Li Yu's feelings.

With that, the matter was settled. The Immortal Deer would be better off following a future Saint than staying by his side.

Outside Five Villages Temple, Li Yu and Zhen Yuanzi watched as Taiqing rode away on a cloud, taking the Azure Ox and Immortal Deer with him toward Mount Kunlun.

"Just an Immortal Deer, yet Taiqing came here personally? It seems your friendship with Fellow Daoist Taiqing runs deep. When did that happen? Why have I never heard you mention it?" Zhen Yuanzi asked curiously.

"Perhaps it is fate. Taiqing thinks highly of me; there is nothing I can do about that. Do not be jealous," Li Yu said with a smile.

Taiqing seemed to be traveling abroad. Even Taiqing, who usually disliked moving about, had come out to wander. The others were likely doing the same, all seeking their opportunities to become Saints.

That meant Nüwa's creation of humanity could not be far off.

The birth of the Human Race held immense significance for the Primordial World, for Nüwa, and even for the other future Saints. In other words, the appearance of the Human Race had opened the curtain on the Primordial World's age of sainthood.

Yet this matter was also exceptionally important to Li Yu.

After all, he was human!

At that thought, Li Yu felt that it was time to visit Mount Buzhou.

When the Human Race was first born, they had gathered near Mount Buzhou, relying on the Wu Clan to shelter them from the savage demon race.

Only after the Human Race had grown stronger did they gradually move beyond Mount Buzhou and spread throughout the Wild Continent.

"Brother Zhen Yuanzi, I have sensed something and must travel far. I do not know when I will return."

Upon hearing this, Zhen Yuanzi suddenly frowned. "Travel far? With the Primordial World in its current state, what could be so important that you must leave? If you become entangled in the war between the Wu Clan and demon race, it will be trouble. We have both seen the previous calamity. Can this not be postponed?"

Zhen Yuanzi's words were full of concern for Li Yu's journey, and they made his stance abundantly clear.

"This matter is of great importance, so I must go. Still, this trip should be safe. There is no need to worry too much," Li Yu said.

When they had parted at Purple Cloud Palace last time, Nüwa had told him that he could come visit Fuxi's divine soul whenever he had time.

Whether it had been mere courtesy or a sincere invitation, Li Yu now had an excuse to visit Nüwa openly.

Though conflicts raged endlessly throughout the Primordial Wilderness, Mount Buzhou was the ancestral land of the Wu Clan. For the time being, the demon race did not dare extend its reach there. Compared to other places, Mount Buzhou was instead free of much of the air of slaughter.

Li Yu had only taken a few steps after appearing when a female immortal emerged and blocked his path.

"Senior Li!"

This was not Li Yu's first visit to Wa Palace. The female immortals responsible for guarding and receiving guests already recognized him.

"Is your mistress, Fellow Daoist Nüwa, present? I have come by invitation."

The female immortal replied, "Mistress is cultivating in seclusion. She instructed us long ago that if Senior Li came, you could enter directly. Please follow me."

It seemed Nüwa had not merely exchanged pleasantries. She sincerely wanted him to visit Fuxi more often.

Upon arriving in Wa Palace's main hall,

the female immortal went to find Nüwa, while other female immortals prepared immortal fruits to receive Li Yu. There were many female immortals in Wa Palace—far more than the mere two attendants, Qingfeng and Mingyue, at Five Villages Temple.

"Fellow Daoist Li, I am truly grateful that you came!"

Not long afterward, Nüwa emerged gracefully from the depths of Wa Palace.

"It was my duty to do so. Delaying until today was my negligence," Li Yu said as he rose apologetically.

Nüwa unfurled the Earth-Society Landscape Scroll, and she and Li Yu entered the world within it.

Fuxi's divine soul floated silently before them, his eyes shut as though he had fallen asleep.

"I do not know whether Elder Brother can sense what is happening outside. I worry that he may be lonely, so I often come to see him," Nüwa said, seemingly speaking to herself and yet also to Li Yu.

"Although Fellow Daoist Fuxi cannot speak with us now, he is a primordial being and had already attained Quasi-Saint cultivation. His divine soul must be extraordinary. I believe he can sense the people and events outside; he simply cannot communicate with us," Li Yu said, offering Nüwa some comfort.

Nüwa did not seem to feel any better after Li Yu's consolation. She sighed. "I wonder when the opportunity for reincarnation that Senior Brother Taiqing spoke of will arrive. Seeing Elder Brother like this, he must also wish to enter reincarnation as soon as possible."

To reincarnate and cultivate anew, they naturally had to wait until the Netherworld was established and the Six Paths of Reincarnation existed.

"It should not be far away," Li Yu said softly.

"I have felt increasingly troubled lately. Would Fellow Daoist Li accompany me for a walk?"

After hearing Nüwa's words, Li Yu nodded. "Then let us go together. We can wander around Mount Buzhou. At present, this is perhaps the only peaceful place left in the Primordial World."

Nüwa and Li Yu walked through the forests and clear streams of Mount Buzhou without any destination or deliberate direction. Following their whims, they soon arrived at a clear mountain pool.

Nüwa suddenly felt inspired and sat beside the pool. She removed her shoes and stockings and, like a young girl, began playing in the water.

Seeing this, Li Yu used his magic power to gather some earth from the mountains. With a slight application of his methods, a lifelike clay tiger appeared in his hand. With a gentle push, he sent the clay tiger flying before Nüwa.

Nüwa stopped abruptly upon seeing it, as though she had gained some insight.

"Is this the opportunity to become a Saint?"

Not long afterward, Nüwa suddenly took out the Primordial Purple Qi. After looking at it, she took out Resting Soil and tossed it into the pool. The clear water immediately became a pool of mud.

Nüwa then took out the Primordial Gourd Vine and stirred the mud with it before flicking it toward the mountains. The droplets of mud scattered from the Primordial Gourd Vine transformed into living beings the moment they touched the ground.

Watching everything from the side, Li Yu understood that Nüwa was creating the beings of the Human Race.

These were the first beings of the Human Race to exist between Heaven and Earth!

Nüwa continued waving the Primordial Gourd Vine in her hand, and Human Race beings appeared one after another among the mountains and forests. The newly born humans were barely clothed as they curiously surveyed this world.

Once the muddy pool returned to its usual clarity, Nüwa stopped waving the Primordial Gourd Vine.

By then, nearly ten thousand humans had appeared in the forest. They had gathered together before Nüwa and Li Yu.
