The Nine-Tails threw its head back and roared, its nine tails shooting into the sky.

Its cry echoed through the night, tearing apart the darkness.

An unremarkable Tailed Beast Bomb came hurtling toward them.

Minato Namikaze's expression turned grave. His hands flashed through seals as he held special kunai between his fingers.

A mushroom-cloud explosion that seemed to shift Heaven and Earth erupted in the distant wilderness outside the village.

Before Minato Namikaze could breathe a sigh of relief, Hiruzen Sarutobi hurriedly warned him as another Tailed Beast Bomb came roaring in.

Choza Akimichi let out a heavy sigh, as though he had made up his mind. "There's no choice. We can only fight to the death."

Choza Akimichi took out a special distress flare made by the Akimichi Clan from his robes.

Uchiha Kyu raised a hand and pressed it downward. Everyone's cheers came to an abrupt stop.

"Konoha's upper ranks have harmed their fellow ninja clans, disregarded the law, and acted with utter lawlessness."

"The Third Hokage has greedily clung to power and profit, using the convenience of his position to secretly cultivate death warriors."

"The Fourth Hokage has indulged and shielded the Third Hokage, knowingly breaking the law himself."

"The Akimichi, Aburame, Yamanaka, and other clans have aided Konoha's upper ranks in their evil deeds. Their crimes are unforgivable."

Uchiha Kyu's roar rang out thunderously. "Tell me, will we continue to endure this?"

The Uchiha ninja were filled with hot blood as they roared back, "No!!!"

Uchiha Kyu raised his hand into a fist, his voice low.

"Clansmen, brothers of the Hyuga Clan, for the justice in our hearts, help me kill every enemy."

"After tonight, I will share the glory of this victory with all of you."

"Roar!!!" The Nine-Tails roared behind him in support.

Uchiha Kyu's words set their blood boiling, making them feel as though they stood at the pinnacle of justice, passing judgment upon utterly wicked criminals.

An unreadable smile appeared on Hyuga Hiashi's face. The moment he raised his head, he lifted his blade with burning fervor. "Clansmen, for justice!!!"

"Follow me and kill!!!"

"Kill!!!"

Hizashi Hyuga stayed close at his elder brother's side and led the Hyuga Clan members in charging forward first.

Fugaku Uchiha gently patted Mikoto's back. His face was filled with killing intent as he raised his blade and shouted with fervor.

"For the clan, for the patriarch, for justice."

"Follow me and slaughter the enemy."

"Kill!!!"

Uchiha Ying and the others, radiating killing intent, swarmed forward.

Uchiha Kyu thoughtfully glanced at the Nine-Tails, a trace of calculation flashing through his shrewd eyes.

"Hold them off. As long as reinforcements arrive, the advantage in this battle will be ours."

Hiruzen Sarutobi, who had been about to lead his forces forward, suddenly stiffened and clutched his faintly aching lower back.

Damn it, why did this old injury flare up now?

"I'll find a way to deal with the Nine-Tails. Lord Third, hold on."
