Boom—!
Two terrifying pressures collided without warning.
The Soul Reapers' Reiatsu shot into the sky, while Conqueror's Haki met it head-on without yielding, though it was slightly inferior.
The Hero Association members seemed especially insignificant, caught between those two forces.
"Stop."
Sosuke Aizen used Flash Step to appear on the battlefield. As the organization's most capable coordinator, he could not tolerate new members causing chaos the moment they joined.
"Aizen?!"
The orange-haired youth's hand gripping Zangetsu trembled slightly. Ichigo Kurosaki had never expected to encounter this archenemy here.
"What a pity," Aizen said, adjusting his glasses. "Even after reaching your complete form, you're still only at the initial Super-Dragon-Level." Having fused with the Hogyoku and acquired a full set of divine equipment, he had long since entered the intermediate realm.
"Sosuke Aizen!"
Soi Fon's Flash Step was astonishingly fast. Her Zanpakuto instantly pressed against Aizen's throat, but before her words could finish—
Bang!
This captain-class Soul Reaper was sent flying hundreds of meters away by Reiatsu. Cold light reflected off Aizen's lenses. "Still as impatient as ever, Captain Soi Fon."
Suffocating pressure filled the air. Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto, his head covered in silver hair, slowly raised his eyes. That sharp gaze seemed capable of piercing all things in the world. The Zanpakuto at his waist, Ryujin Jakka, could release temperatures of six thousand degrees with only its initial release, while its complete release could approach the sun's core temperature of fifteen million degrees. Even Adamantium, said to withstand temperatures of five hundred thousand degrees, would instantly vaporize before Ryujin Jakka's complete release.
"Aizen... has already touched that realm..." Yamamoto murmured, as Ichigo Kurosaki unleashed earth-shaking Reiatsu. "Complete release! Tensa Zangetsu!" With that furious roar, the once-broad Zangetsu transformed in an instant into a slender katana. Yet even with his strength multiplied dozens of times over, Ichigo Kurosaki remained as helpless as an ant before Sosuke Aizen.
"I told you long ago—you are still this weak." Aizen's voice seemed to descend from the clouds. "I now sit above the heavens, with only the chairman above me. Against the current you, one hand is enough." Before his words faded, he had already appeared beside Ichigo, his blade drawing a spray of blood. By the time Ichigo realized he had been pierced through, a strange gravitational field had firmly bound him. This was clearly no effect an ordinary slash could achieve.
"Ichigo!" Amid his companions' cries, Aizen adjusted his gleaming glasses. "As fellow members of the League of Heroes, I will naturally spare his life. After all, the chairman hates comrades killing one another most." The captains of the Gotei 13 fell silent as cicadas in winter. No one dared face this legendary supreme powerhouse directly.
Yet there were always exceptions who feared no authority. "Hahahaha! Now that's more like it!" Kenpachi Zaraki, captain of the Eleventh Division, roared excitedly. "Let's have a good slaughter, Aizen!" Even without releasing his Zanpakuto, this battle fanatic possessed strength sufficient to crush most captains. "Insolence!" Kaname Tosen, captain of the Ninth Division, shouted sharply as he drew his blade. As swords were drawn and tensions flared, the entire space seemed to freeze.
The Four Emperors of the Sea revealed their unique styles one after another.
"Gurarara! What a surprise—the League of Heroes has gathered so many experts!" the fat man in a pink straw hat shouted, patting his belly.
The tall, thin man in a top hat bowed elegantly. "Allow me to suggest that everyone suspend their fighting for now."
The burly man wreathed in flames laughed loudly. "Count me in! Let's see who can take my life!"
As these heroes rose in force, Kaido, once hailed as invincible across land, sea, and air, threw back his head and laughed wildly. His impervious body and immortal nature struck fear into the hearts of all.
"In a one-on-one fight, Kaido stands first"—this had become the consensus of the seafaring world.
This giant of a warrior had long black hair hanging loose over his shoulders, twin horns atop his head, and beard whiskers that swayed like dragon whiskers in the wind. His bare upper body was covered in dragon-scale tattoos, and the cross-shaped scar on his abdomen was especially striking. His purple battle robe danced at his waist, golden chains clinked, and dark green trousers paired with a shimenawa rope made him seem like a demon god descended upon the world.
At times he laughed madly, at others he wept bitterly, and a sake gourd never left his hand. Whenever he encountered a strong opponent, he would always challenge them himself.
"Do not overestimate yourself." The brown-haired man in glasses lightly stroked his sword hilt. "The body you take such pride in may not be able to withstand a strike on the soul level."
"If you are struck by my Zanpakuto, even you will die."
Faced with Kaido's incomprehensible physique, the former captain of the Fifth Division could not hide his surprise—it had indeed reached the threshold of S-Class. Yet the weakness of his soul meant that he would ultimately remain only quasi-S-Class.
"Enough chatter! Fight!" Kaido swung his spiked club.
"Leave the physical contest to me!" A dark-skinned burly man stepped forward. This muscular man clad only in briefs was none other than Superalloy Darkshine, who had forged a body of steel through grueling training.
Although his physical strength was close to the peak of S-Class, there was still a gap between him and Kaido.
"Ha!" With a thunderous shout, the bodybuilder-like figure continuously displayed his bulging muscles.
The muscular giant with a body of steel displayed power sufficient to crush the Beast Pirates' Three Calamities. "Looks like everyone has been captivated by my bodybuilding physique!" Superalloy Darkshine said to himself blissfully as he flexed his muscles.
However, Kaido's subordinates did not regard this bald strongman as a threat at all. In their hearts, Kaido of the Beasts was the symbol of invincibility. Even three Marine admirals would need to join forces for a chance against him. Challenging him alone? That was merely seeking death.
"Thunder Bagua!"
The heavy spiked club tore through the air. Kaido struck Darkshine with the force of thunder, blasting him away. This blow had once instantly defeated the pirate known as Straw Hat. "Quite sturdy." Kaido glanced at the cracks appearing on his weapon—this was merely a weapon he used to assist his attacks, yet it had been damaged in the collision. That alone showed how formidable his opponent's defense was.
This instead piqued Kaido's interest. After all, this "strongest creature in land, sea, and air" was likewise famed for his immortal body: blades and axes could not harm him, lightning and fire could not touch him, a hundred poisons could not affect him, and even his internal organs were indestructible. A thousand tortures and forty executions had failed to take his life. He tore apart gallows, shattered guillotines, and broke spears with his body—no one in this world could kill Kaido, including Kaido himself.
"A sneak attack is way too dangerous." Darkshine rubbed his aching muscles and complained. Kaido's horrifying strength had actually made even this extraordinary body feel pain.
"Not bad. Want to join my ranks?"
"Join you? No chance. I refuse."
Faced with the offer, Superalloy Darkshine rejected it decisively. As a top-tier powerhouse himself, even if the other party was stronger, he would never be willing to serve beneath another.
Rather than growing angry at the rejection, Kaido was delighted—he had always valued talent. He had once recruited Shutenmaru despite past grievances, and even toward defeated opponents, he always wished to make them submit willingly and serve him. Even Straw Hat, who had ruined his business, was someone Kaido had wanted to recruit rather than execute after capturing him.
"Then let strength do the talking!"
"Just what I wanted!"
The roars of the two muscular giants shook the heavens, formally opening this unusual conversation conducted with fists.
Though he was being suppressed, Superalloy Darkshine could still keep fighting. "It's our turn, Kaname Tosen!" "Insolence! Bankai..." "Stop."
With a crisp snap of fingers, an irresistible and overwhelming pressure enveloped the entire area.
Li Chen slowly emerged from the chairman's office. Looking down at the tense crowd below, he frowned slightly and gave an order.
Not only were there countless conflicts among heroes, but there was no shortage of maniacs who lived for battle. "In my capacity as chairman of the League of Heroes, I order you to cease your internal conflict." "Those who disobey will be severely punished." "Do you all understand?" Vast authority surged from Li Chen's body.
The power of three factions empowered him, bringing his strength closer to the God-Level disaster tier.
Fortunately, the deterrence worked. Even the most unruly Kenpachi Zaraki and Kaido of the Beasts stopped moving.
Li Chen pondered silently: I wonder if Thor can bring Loki back? If I can obtain the power of the Infinity Stones, perhaps I can break through to the God-Level disaster tier—that is, vice-chairman-level strength. But with Thor's reckless personality, he will probably be played for a fool by the God of Mischief...
After suppressing the entire gathering.
Seeing everyone obediently lower their heads, Li Chen nodded in satisfaction.
He then pushed Aizen out to handle the aftermath.
Naturally, such trivial matters had to be left to a capable assistant.
Could a dignified chairman really be expected to handle every little detail personally?
After tossing out the words, "I'll leave it to you," he accepted Aizen's respectful send-off.
Then, under the reverent gazes of the crowd, he leisurely returned to his room.
He had barely sat down and had not even touched his tea when the Alliance Bracelet suddenly began beeping.
Yugi Mutou, head of the African branch, sent an urgent communication.
On the projected screen, Yugi, sporting his iconic starfish hair, said anxiously:
"Chairman! Apocalypse, who previously controlled the entire world, has appeared!"
"Are you sure it's him?"
"Without a doubt!"
Li Chen stroked his chin, his expression calm. "What? You can't handle him?"
Yugi immediately looked troubled.
"Chairman, it's not that I can't deal with him. It's just that I have other enemies tying me down here." As soon as Yugi Mutou finished speaking, Li Chen smacked his forehead. "Sorry, I've been so busy lately that I'm getting muddleheaded."
Mentioning the mess in Africa, Li Chen finally remembered how chaotic things had become there. Noxus alone had already been enough to turn the place upside down, and now it had actually joined forces with the Monster Association. It was simply adding fuel to the fire. If Reinhard and Kizaru had not later been sent there as reinforcements, Africa might have been blown apart by now!
After listening to Yugi Mutou's complaints, Li Chen finally sorted out the situation. Apocalypse, who had gone to Africa to wreak havoc, had indeed gotten together with Noxus. His Four Horsemen—Magneto (quasi-S-Class), Angel (B-Class), Psylocke, and Storm—had naturally become part of their combat force. On the main battlefield, the League of Heroes' African branch, together with Wakanda's technological support, could originally have fought them evenly. But once Apocalypse, a Super-Dragon-Level disruptor, joined the battle, the situation immediately took a sharp turn for the worse.
"Chairman, quickly send reinforcements!" Yugi Mutou's voice trembled. "Yesterday, the Monster Association sent another quasi-S-Class monster!" Li Chen rubbed his temples. "Understood. I'll arrange it immediately. Hold on for another day." The moment the communication ended, he grabbed his teacup and drained it in one gulp.
The most troublesome part now was robbing Peter to pay Paul—and there was not even enough to rob. The Impostor incident at the European branch could barely be contained, but Africa was about to collapse. If they made any more enemies, Earth might truly be finished. Li Chen set down his teacup with a thud and strode outside. Aizen was busy arranging accommodations for the three factions: the Four Emperors clamored to set sail, the Hero Association did not care where they stayed, while the Gotei 13 were the hardest to arrange because Aizen was stationed at headquarters.
They could not possibly remain alongside Aizen. How to deal with this group had become Aizen's most difficult problem.
"Chairman?!"
Sensing the familiar presence, Aizen immediately turned around.
Li Chen waved to signal that he need not be nervous, then stepped onto Reishi stairs and slowly ascended above the crowd.
"The scene was chaotic earlier, and everyone has yet to become acquainted with one another. I intend to hold a welcome ceremony. What do you all think?"
The Four Emperors' camp responded enthusiastically: Charlotte Linlin cheered for desserts, Whitebeard told his children to prepare for a grand feast, and Shanks readily agreed. Only Kaido remained sullen. "Drinking has no flavor if we don't fight first..."
By contrast, the Hero Association and the Gotei 13 were much quieter. Bang rubbed his lower back and muttered, "This welcome ceremony feels rather sudden." Atomic Samurai sat cross-legged. "As long as there's food and drink, that's enough." Pig God had already begun biting his fingers and drooling. Captain-Commander Yamamoto stated steadily, "We will follow the chairman's arrangements."
Seeing no objections, Li Chen waved his hand. "Follow me to the banquet!"
"Chairman, I need to..." Before Aizen could finish, Li Chen interrupted him. "You remain behind to guard headquarters."
"Understood!" Deeply moved, Aizen dropped to one knee and swore, "This subordinate vows to live and die with headquarters!"
