As he neared the bottom of the pit, Lin Yi slowed down.
The ruins of a cluster of buildings could vaguely be seen below. As he descended further, their outlines gradually became clear—it was a bronze hall.
Calling it a hall was inaccurate. Heavenly Tribulation had blasted it until only an empty frame remained.
More than half the dome had collapsed. Some pillars were broken, others cracked. Of the four walls, only two were barely still standing, covered in spiderweb-like fissures.
Lin Yi swept the entire ruin with his Spirit Eyes and found no lingering trace of decay. Heavenly Tribulation had cleansed it thoroughly, leaving not even the faintest scent behind.
The two of them slowly descended into the ruins.
After landing, Lin Yi looked around. The great hall was utterly empty. Everything had been ground to pieces by Heavenly Tribulation, leaving only a bronze coffin in the very center.
The coffin was badly damaged, missing chunks here and there. Its walls were covered in scorched marks and cracks left by lightning strikes. Most importantly, it had no lid.
"Big Brother, that bronze panel you pulled out earlier should have been this coffin's lid, right?" Ye Xing came over and said.
