He won with an unexpected headbutt that knocked Gu Chen out of the arena. A golden phantom restored the competitors’ injuries and cultivation, and Lin Yi received the complete Human Emperor’s Prison-Suppressing Scripture. Gan Hao offered Lin Yi a role in the Great Gan Dynasty’s struggle for the throne, but Lin Yi refused to become another person’s weapon. Journey Beyond the Great Wilderness

Investigating a Beast Tide from the Great Wilderness’s core, Lin Yi encountered a catastrophic Heavenly Tribulation and an underground aura of decay. He escaped with Ye Xing using Dao’s Carefree Song, then returned to examine the devastation and recovered a bronze coffin lid 94.

At the bottom of the pit, they discovered a ruined bronze hall and an ancient woman in red. She immobilized them through spatial laws and requested an escort to coordinates that could resolve her predicament. Lin Yi negotiated an Imperial Scripture and an imperial-tier martial technique as payment, receiving the Qilin Origin Imperial Scripture as a deposit. The woman warned that Heaven and the Great Dao sought to erase her, making travel with her dangerous 95.

Lin Yi and Ye Xing left the Great Wilderness for the Primordial Beginning Ancient Domain. During fourteen days of travel, Lin Yi refined his foundations through the Qilin scripture, entered the Soul Extremity Realm, and greatly strengthened his Divine Sense and Spirit Eyes 96 97. After the pair were swallowed by a Starry Sky Beast, Lin Yi recognized potential devouring abilities in its Divine Markings. The pair encountered a Song Household caravan under attack by star pirates. Snow Region and Snow Elf Tribe

A teleportation malfunction, apparently influenced by Heaven’s Annoyance, expelled Lin Yi and Ye Xing into the Snow Region of the Ten Thousand Races Battlefield 109. Seeking directions from a Snow Elf city, Lin Yi was threatened with capture by Xue Jin. An Extreme Coldstorm overwhelmed their flying vessel’s defenses and forced them back to the Snow Elf city 111. While studying the storm, Lin Yi entered an epiphany, perfected Ice and Snow Intent in half a day, and fused it with the Intent of the Ultimate Dao to manifest Matchless Elegance. The phenomenon exhausted his spiritual power and overtaxed his Divine Soul, leaving him unconscious 114 115. Xue Ling, whose observation of Lin Yi’s phenomenon helped her reach the Venerable Realm, publicly asked him to accept the Snow Elf Tribe under his protection.
