Uchiha Jobu asked, "First question: Was it really the Sage of Six Paths who brought you back to life?"

Senju Hashirama's brow tightened. He nodded with utter seriousness. "Yes. I swear it was the Sage of Six Paths who brought me back from the Pure Land."

"Oh? Why?"

Jobu did not believe the Sage of Six Paths, Otsutsuki Hagoromo, would resurrect Senju Hashirama and Tobirama Senju for no reason. Otsutsuki Kaguya had not broken free of her seal, after all. The Ninja World had no need for a savior yet.

Hashirama thought for a moment. "The Sage of Six Paths told me to stop Madara. He said I must never let Uchiha destroy the Ninja World's future."

"The Ninja World's future? That old man, the Sage of Six Paths, said that?"

Jobu had a fair idea what was going on. When Uchiha had turned their blades on the Senju Clan, Hagoromo had not emerged from the Pure Land. Yet now he had resurrected Hashirama and Tobirama. The reason was obvious: Hagoromo wanted the Shinobi Village Era to come about.

Uchiha had deliberately lured the Water-Earth-Wind-Lightning Four Great Ninja Village Alliance into forming an army and attacking. The plan was to wipe out the so-called powers of the Ninja World in one stroke, leaving Uchiha and Konoha as the strongest forces on the continent.

But now Hashirama and Tobirama had both been resurrected because Hagoromo wanted to stop the Uchiha Clan from destroying the Four Great Ninja Villages.

Jobu gave a cold snort to himself. He had not intended to move against Hagoromo so soon, but it seemed he needed to bring his plans forward and erase him completely. Otherwise, Hagoromo would keep obstructing him from the shadows.
