Several verdant bamboo stalks grew within it, along with an ancient well, a stone table, and two stone stools.

At that moment, waves of delicious aromas drifted from the courtyard.

A cool, noble female voice rang out, though it carried a hint of exasperation.

A stunning woman in a plain white dress, her golden hair cascading over her shoulders, stood with her hands on her hips and glared furiously at a flustered young man before the stove.

The young man had black hair, black eyes, and handsome features.

Yet several flecks of ash stained his face, making him look somewhat bedraggled.

Another voice, seductive to the bone and dripping with amusement, came from nearby.

A woman in purple leaned against the doorframe, cracking sunflower seeds as she watched the scene with a smile.
