Background
Jiang Tieyi was born to a miner’s family and entered the mines at six years old, carrying ore for four years. The labor that shaped his body also shaped his view of strength: endurance is earned through hardship rather than displayed through refinement. 41
Before joining Su Chen, he spent his exceptional potential on practical survival—mining faster and hunting food. Su Chen encountered him in Ironfang Town killing a heavily armored Rock Armor Beast with his bare fists, recognized the rare Savage Ancient Ape Martial Soul, and recruited him by promising unlimited meat. Jiang immediately swore loyalty, becoming Su Chen’s fourth companion. 12
Su Chen tested him against Iron Wall, a Ten-Thousand-Year Fearclaw Bear. Jiang withstood two full-force claws without moving, establishing himself as the group’s immovable frontline core. 12
Appearance
Jiang Tieyi is a heavily built young man whose physique is more reminiscent of a laborer or a Soul Beast than a conventional Soul Master. He stood 1.90 meters tall before his refinement at the Ice-Fire Yin Yang Well increased his height to 1.95 meters. 41 113
- Broad-shouldered and muscular, usually dressed in simple rough cloth rather than ornate Soul Master attire. 100
- His hands are thickly callused from childhood mining and later forging. 41
- Myriad-Kilogram Body enlarges him to roughly 2.5 meters and gives his skin a gray-brown, ore-like texture. 41
- After becoming a Soul Emperor, dark-golden light becomes visible in his eyes and his natural pressure grows suffocating. 93
Personality
Jiang is blunt, literal-minded, and largely uninterested in status, etiquette, or complicated schemes. He evaluates people and objects by whether they are useful, durable, or worth respecting. When Tie Xin dismisses a worn carriage axle as trash, Jiang argues that nothing is inherently noble or cheap if it can still serve a purpose. 199
His appetite is immense and frequently interrupts serious situations, but it is also the simplest expression of his contentment. Su Chen’s promise of plentiful meat earns his immediate loyalty, and Jiang continues to judge danger partly by whether anyone is currently trying to hit him. 12 110
Behind his simple manner is fierce courage. He shields Chu Yao during a beast stampede, charges Tang Hao despite knowing the attack is futile, and remains behind to block Ye Xishui’s attack long enough for the others to escape. 16 52 146
Abilities & Skills
Savage Ancient Ape Martial Soul
Jiang possesses the rare Savage Ancient Ape Martial Soul, an ancient beast-king lineage that suppresses gorilla-type martial souls and grants extreme physical power, endurance, and recovery. Tai Long’s Golden-Patterned Powerful Gorilla instinctively submits before its phantom. 104
- Desolate Heavy Fist — His first Soul Skill; a direct, explosive punch capable of overpowering physically stronger-ranked opponents. 105
- Myriad-Kilogram Body — Increases his size, muscle density, mass, and durability until he becomes nearly impossible to move. 41
- Ancient Ape Vajra Body — Covers his body in a dark-golden, metallic defense suited for sustained close combat. 177
- His body can recover from severe battlefield damage, eventually allowing him to outlast opponents whose defenses do not regenerate. 177
- Early in the story, his strength is insufficient to hold back a weakened Ninety-Thousand-Year Soul Beast alone. 64
Gravity Control
Jiang’s gravity techniques restrict movement, amplify his own immovability, and turn an opponent’s weight into a weapon against them.
- Desolate Overwhelming Pressure — Condenses an eightfold gravity field onto a target, draining Soul Power and preventing mobility. 41
- Wild Gravity Field — Multiplies gravity eightfold across a thirty-meter area; he uses it to force sixteen Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect gatekeepers to their knees. 80
- World-Destroying Gravity Collapse and Earth Splitting — His eighth Soul Skill; increases gravity thirtyfold over a 150-meter radius and crushes Golden Crocodile Douluo’s ultimate attack into the ground. 177
Soul Bones
- Heaven-Piercing Chrysanthemum Right Arm Bone — Granted by Su Chen after Yue Guan’s death; provides rupture and explosive force that compensates for Jiang’s earlier lack of decisive offense. 79
- Thousand-Pistil Annihilation — Compresses golden chrysanthemum pistils around his fist for a devastating finishing blow. 105
- Dark Golden Terrorclaw Bear Left Arm Bone — Grants the passive ability Unyielding Physique, allowing him to block Golden Crocodile Douluo’s tail strike with only limited displacement. 177
- Dark Golden Shattering Claw — Used to tear through Golden Crocodile Douluo’s neck and kill him. 177
Forging and Cooking
Jiang’s childhood labor gives him an intuitive mastery of force, vibration, and material structure. In Gengxin City, he forges Black Tungsten Iron into a kitchen knife using only a rusty ordinary hammer, without Soul Power, flames, or martial-soul assistance. The knife cuts through refined steel and breaks Tie Xin’s forged sword. 199
- Values practical tools over decorative craftsmanship. 199
- Refuses Tie Ao’s offer of apprenticeship because he considers cooking for Su Chen more important. 200
- Later receives the Myriad Realms Culinary Map, a guide to worlds with distinct food cultures. 205
Divine Authority
As the Titan War God, Jiang receives the divine law of Strength from Su Chen. 185
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Heaven-Piercing Chrysanthemum Right Arm Bone — Offensive Soul Bone used for rupture and explosive finishing strikes. 79
- Dark Golden Terrorclaw Bear Left Arm Bone — Defensive Soul Bone that grants Unyielding Physique and the Dark Golden Shattering Claw. 177
- Black Tungsten kitchen knife — A plain knife Jiang forged through pure hammering; he gives it to Su Chen for cutting meat. 199
- Myriad Realms Culinary Map — A starlight map of culinary worlds given to him after the Abyss Seven Generals disband. 205
Relationships
- Su Chen — Master, recruiter, and the person Jiang follows with absolute loyalty. Jiang becomes Su Chen’s fourth companion after being promised unlimited meat and repeatedly serves as his shield and frontline enforcer. 12 146
- Chu Yao — Fellow Abyss General. Jiang shields her during a beast stampede, while she treats his injuries and frequently mocks his straightforward behavior and appetite. 16 53
- Ling Shuang — Fellow Abyss General who often tends to him, including monitoring his food and caring for him during their peaceful travels. 19 196
- Mo Qianye — Fellow frontline fighter. Mo Qianye is regularly left speechless by Jiang’s honest explanations, particularly when Jiang reveals he used only seventy percent of his strength against Tai Long to avoid crushing his food. 106
- Tang San — Former tournament opponent who earns Jiang’s respect after forcing him off the ground with White Tiger Meteor Fist. Jiang later offers the exhausted Tang San dried meat during their temporary alliance. 41 73
- Tai Long — Rival from the Strength Clan. Jiang overwhelms Tai Long’s higher-ranked Martial Soul Avatar with a combined Soul Skill and Soul Bone attack. 105
- Golden Crocodile Douluo — Spirit Hall opponent defeated and killed by Jiang in a direct physical battle despite the elder’s Level 98 cultivation. 177
