Mo Qianye first intervenes when Jiang Yuandong attempts to ambush Su Chen outside Nording City. He kills the two accompanying Great Soul Masters with purple Netherfire, neutralizes Jiang’s wolf-shaped soul skill, and burns away Jiang’s Gray Shadow Wolf martial soul. His hatred for Spirit Hall is immediate and absolute. 3

After Su Chen leaves Jiang alive, Mo Qianye proposes a shared objective: Spirit Hall’s destruction. He accepts Su Chen’s condition that every action proceed according to Su Chen’s timing, then accompanies him into the Star Dou Great Forest as his first companion. 3

Mo is initially unsettled by Su Chen’s ability to direct Ten-Thousand-Year soul beasts through broad strategic intent alone. After observing the Dreadclaw Bears’ disciplined formations, he recognizes that Su Chen is not merely gathering powerful beasts, but building an army. 4 7

Mo later reveals that the Nether Phoenix Clan was exterminated. He identifies the enemy responsible for the massacre and Su Chen, who “dragged [him] out of hell,” as the only people to make him bleed before Xiao Wu became the third. 46

His later vengeance clarifies that the destroyed Nether Phoenix Clan was also known as the Mo Clan. After killing Mighty Lion Douluo, Mo dedicates the victory to the 137 Mo Clan members who died in the massacre. 176

During the liberation of Slaughter City, Mo quietly preserves an inscribed bone fragment belonging to one of Yin Wujiu’s victims, refusing to let the victim be reduced to anonymous material in the Bone Tower. 66

Following the divine war, Su Chen formally disbands the Abyss Seven Generals, stressing that they were never slaves or mere subordinates. Mo nevertheless remains devoted to him and subsequently establishes himself in the Netherworld Realm as the new King of the Nether Phoenix. 205 206

Mo Qianye is a pale, handsome youth who usually conceals himself beneath black robes and a low hood. His eyes carry dark-purple fire, while his martial soul manifests as a black phoenix wreathed in purple netherfire. 3

Mo Qianye is cold, restrained, and ruthlessly hostile toward Spirit Hall. He treats its agents as enemies deserving death and shows no hesitation when using netherfire to kill or destroy martial souls. 3

Despite his independent strength and vengeful motives, he is disciplined under Su Chen’s command. He performs assigned roles precisely, conserves his strongest attacks for decisive moments, and accepts criticism when Su Chen judges his finishing timing inadequate. 14 33

His calm exterior conceals intense grief and savagery connected to his clan’s destruction. Xiao Wu’s ability to wound him briefly breaks that composure, but he responds by acknowledging her achievement rather than belittling her. 46

Mo possesses an instinctive hunger for death and destruction inherited from the Nine Netherworld Phoenix. While exposed to Slaughter City’s Bloodmist Miasma, he struggles to suppress that urge while staring at the Bone Tower, but conceals it when Su Chen approaches. 59

Although he rarely verbalizes concern, Mo is deeply loyal to Su Chen. During the Myriad-Realm Summoning God Seal trial, he attempts to intervene when Su Chen is overwhelmed by soul-beast resentment, only stopping after Ye Linglong warns that outside interference would destroy the ritual. 160

His composure can be disrupted by his companions’ absurdity. Jiang Tieyi’s explanation that he used only seventy percent of his power against Tai Long to avoid crushing his food leaves Mo visibly exasperated enough to walk away. 106
