Background / History

Xiao Hongchen is Jing Hongchen’s grandson and Meng Hongchen’s older brother. As a prodigy of Illustrious Virtue Hall, his enrollment at the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineering Academy is treated as a formality; he and Meng enter through the noble registration area rather than the commoner queue. He initially ignores Wang Shaojie’s attempt to ingratiate himself, showing little interest in social flattery. 12

When Ye Chenxing and Qian Renxue arrive, Xiao looks past their appearance and immediately questions why unfamiliar outsiders have appeared among Ming Capital’s upper circles.
