History
Foundation
Star Tower originates from Ye Chenxing’s Soul-Control Tool Machine, an automated manufacturing system whose military potential immediately attracts Kong Deming, Jing Hongchen, and Ye Yulin’s attention. Ye instead proposes using it to develop medical, communication, entertainment, and energy technologies for ordinary people. Jing offers Illustrious Virtue Hall’s money and personnel, while Kong commits to establishing a new faction around civilian technology and peace-oriented Soul Engineers 48 49.
Ye names the organization Star Tower and requests that it remain independent, at least publicly. He argues that an official Sun Moon Empire identity would obstruct sales in the former Three Douluo Kingdoms. Kong agrees to locate its headquarters in Ming Capital’s commercially diverse outer city 49 50.
Recruitment and Early Operations
Kong introduces Star Tower to a gathering of elite Soul Engineers, offering immediate consecrated-elder positions with few restrictions. Xu Ping becomes its fifth member, following Ye Chenxing, Kong Deming, Jing Hongchen, and Ye Yulin. Most attendees initially dismiss the organization as a child’s project sustained by Kong’s influence 52.
Ye overturns that skepticism through a technical lecture demonstrating seven Soul Tools. His improvements solve longstanding problems belonging to established engineers; Zheng Zhan requests membership after examining a Memory Metal shield based on his Indestructible Divine Shield. Ye closes the lecture by inviting the engineers to Star Tower for further discussion 54.
Within three months, Star Tower attracts numerous Rank Eight and Rank Nine Soul Engineers and begins distributing its first civilian products around Ming Capital. Ye delegates daily administration and advanced research management to Qiangu Dongfeng so that institutional work does not displace his cultivation 55.
Expansion Beyond Ming Capital
Before leaving for an extended period, Ye appoints Nana to represent him in the former Three Douluo Kingdoms. Operating as a civilian trade organization, Star Tower is to establish branches, conduct commerce, and build a continent-wide distribution network 62.
During Ye’s nine-month absence, Nana establishes the Heaven Dou City branch, studies business and management, and takes charge of its operations. The branch gains a firm local foothold and attracts a cooperation proposal from the Seven Treasure Merchant Association 73.
By its first anniversary, Star Tower has helped transform Ming Capital’s transportation and infrastructure. Its headquarters district becomes a second urban center and a prominent city landmark. Expansion proceeds in Star Luo and Heaven Dou, while the conservative Dou Ling Empire remains harder to enter 96 98.
Headquarters and Branches
Ming Capital Headquarters
- Exterior: A towering white-and-violet spire modeled after Ye Chenxing’s imagined Fantasy Tree. Sharp lines, metallic surfaces, and flowing Soul Tool light give it a technological appearance rather than the original tree’s eerie character 97.
- Surroundings: Formerly desolate outskirts become a district of tall buildings, broad streets, shops, neon lighting, and continuous Soul Guide Vehicle traffic 97.
- Interior: Convenient lifting mechanisms and information-projection screens implement ideas Ye previously entrusted to Qiangu Dongfeng 97.
- Workspaces: The top floor contains a workshop and leadership offices; an upper-floor reception room hosts negotiations with the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect 55 62 104.
- Research facilities: Ye Yulin relocates his laboratory to the headquarters to work on Soul Guide Satellites, while Li Haoyu and other high-ranking engineers settle there 97.
- Entrance monument: Qiangu Dongfeng commissions an enormous statue of Ye Chenxing outside the main gate to encourage recruitment and gather Faith Power 100.
Branch Network
| Location | Documented activities |
|---|---|
| Cities near Ming Capital | Rental renewals, Soul Tool recharging, and medical treatment 55 |
| Heaven Dou City | Nana’s branch sells and demonstrates civilian Soul Tools, including Constant-Temperature Soul Tools, and coordinates medical referrals to headquarters 73 80 |
| Star Luo Empire | Expansion progresses smoothly; the imperial family repeatedly seeks closer contact through Princess Xu Jiujiu 98 |
| Dou Ling Empire | Conservative attitudes make expansion difficult 98 |
Mission and Policies
- Civilian priority: Star Tower develops technology for ordinary people and low-level Soul Masters rather than concentrating access among nobles, powerful cultivators, or military forces 49 55.
- No war-related production: It refuses to manufacture Soul Tools for warfare, despite possessing technologies that could be adapted into devastating weapons 80 87.
- Access without personal Soul Power: Wind, sunlight, stored energy, and proposed alternative energy sources are intended to remove the need for a Soul Master to power every device directly 49 80.
- International reach: Public independence is maintained to reduce political resistance to distributing Sun Moon technology across the continent 50 62.
- Social reform: Ye hopes improved living conditions will ease domestic unrest, weaken the pro-war faction, and narrow the gap between civilians and Soul Masters 49.
- Faith Power: Alongside genuine civilian assistance, Ye intends public gratitude and recognition to nourish the Fantasy Tree. This makes Star Tower’s own name and reputation important to its distribution strategy 49 84.
- Military misuse remains a risk: Some affiliated engineers secretly consider converting civilian inventions into weapons. Ye recognizes this problem rather than assuming that every recruit shares his ideals 55.
Technology and Services
| Technology / Service | Function and documented state |
|---|---|
| Soul-Control Tool Machine | Automates cutting, refining, welding, assembly, and core-formation carving. Its initial version mass-produces first- through fourth-grade Soul Tools; completing its sixth-grade core is expected to enable production one major rank below the machine’s level 48. |
| Qi-Blood Scanner | One of the first civilian products distributed around Ming Capital 55. |
| Soul Guide Game Console | Provides civilian entertainment through the early product range 55. |
| Soul Guide Vehicles | Enter public use alongside dedicated road lanes; Star Tower also develops driver and delivery services 55 96 98. |
| Soul Guide Trains | Higher-capacity transportation project still under construction at Star Tower’s first anniversary 96. |
| Soul Guide Communicators | Released in the early civilian product range, though long-distance communication remains difficult 55. |
| Wind-and-Solar Energy Conversion / Sealed Milk Bottles | Core technologies supporting civilian Soul Tool use. Ye refuses to surrender their blueprints during distribution negotiations 80 84 87. |
| Constant-Temperature Soul Tool | Demonstrated and sold through the Heaven Dou City branch 73. |
| Soul Guide Satellites | Proposed orbital communication relays; Ye Yulin researches their feasibility at headquarters 50 97. |
Medical Care
- Branches provide treatment and advanced examinations, while cases beyond local capabilities can be referred to headquarters 55 80.
- The Heaven Dou City branch diagnoses Jiang Nannan’s mother with terminal congenital heart disease. Headquarters confirms that treatment is possible but requires transporting her to the Sun Moon Empire 80.
- Ye Lingling is assigned to heal civilians and low-level Soul Masters. Her Ultimate Healing is considered sufficient for Star Tower’s current needs 98.
- When Jiang Nannan arrives, Ye Chenxing brings Ye Lingling to examine her mother 103.
Martial Soul Awakening and Soul-Ring Research
- Su Yuntao’s Noble Phantasm gives a small chance of turning people he identifies as possessing “trash Martial Souls” into geniuses with Innate Full Soul Power. Mutated or Twin Martial Souls are even rarer outcomes; his low reserves and inability to grow limit its use 98.
- Old Jack’s Noble Phantasm, “Aged Old Jack,” produces one hundred-year soul ring per day despite his lack of Soul Power. Ye regards the ability as a foundation for artificial soul-ring research, not simply a source of low-year rings 98.
- Self-service Martial Soul awakening and independently generated soul rings are part of Ye’s founding vision, rather than established mass-market services 49.
Headquarters Noble Phantasm
- By the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect negotiations, Star Tower itself has become Qiangu Dongfeng’s Noble Phantasm 104.
- Numerous Soul Tools lock onto Ning Yunyun when Ye displays the Aromatic Silk Beauty. The passage establishes that attacking inside headquarters would be fatal for the visiting negotiators 104.
- No formal rank or name beyond Star Tower is provided for this Noble Phantasm 104.
Organization and Membership
Membership Categories
| Category | Requirements and restrictions | Benefits | Badge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ordinary members | Low entry threshold; affiliation with other organizations is permitted. Members must not harm commoners 55. | Contribution points can be exchanged for Soul Tools or blueprints; high-level engineers receive technical consultation 55. | Ye Chenxing’s three-stroke Command Spell 57. |
| Core members | Personally reviewed by Ye; expected to commit to civilian Soul Tool development and cannot simultaneously belong to another organization 55. | Access to more research projects and advanced blueprints 55. | Fantasy Tree emblem 57. |
- Star Tower badges grant special access at the Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineering Academy, especially those bearing the core-member tree emblem 57.
- Recruitment extends beyond engineers: Ye offers a street storyteller a core-member badge for his sales ability, explicitly requiring him to stop selling counterfeit goods 82.
- Qiangu Dongfeng’s Independent Action makes his noncombat administrative work inexpensive in terms of Ye’s Soul Power supply 55.
Funding and Pricing
- Kong Deming coordinates substantial resource support from the Sun Moon Empire during Star Tower’s establishment 55.
- Commoners and low-level Soul Masters receive inexpensive rentals and in-tower trials; wealthy buyers and high-level Soul Masters pay much higher prices 55.
- Expensive premium services for nobles finance the costly civilian-assistance program. Qiangu also intends to use their dependence on Star Tower’s technology as economic leverage 99.

- Xishui Alliance — Dangerous underground organization backed by the Holy Spirit Cult. Ye orders Star Tower not to provoke it yet 99.
Trivia
- Name origin: “Xingchen” reverses the two characters of Ye Chenxing’s given name, “Chenxing.” Kong interprets the stars and the rising tower as symbols of lofty ambitions 50.
- Recruitment statistics: Among academy recruits who had personally seen Ye Chenxing, female Soul Masters account for ninety percent. Qiangu uses this finding to justify the headquarters statue 100.
- Limits on veneration: Ye approves the statue but rejects Qiangu’s proposal for members to sing a worshipful anthem before it every morning 100.
