Background

Qian Renxue is a dark alternate incarnation born from the original Qian Renxue’s inner darkness during a future Angel God Trial. The original Qian Renxue killed her during that trial, but she instead reappeared more than twenty years in the past, attached to Jiang Li’s newly awakened Martial Soul. She considers herself a dead failure, while Jiang Li recognizes her recorded potential as the inheritor of the Angel God and a future Level-99 Limit Douluo. 2

For years, she existed only as a soul within Jiang Li’s Summoning Grimoire. She could lend him Martial Soul power, knowledge, training, and companionship, but could not touch or fight in the physical world. Her confinement during the Angel God Trial and inability to travel far from Jiang Li made ordinary life outside the trial novel and exciting to her. 3 13 15

After Jiang Li evolved his Martial Soul into the Silver Summoning Grimoire, its Resurrection ability allowed him to restore Qian Renxue through the Icefire Yin Yang Well. The process returned her physical body but reduced her cultivation from Level 99 to Level 89, leaving her ninth Soul Ring unusable until she recovered. 60 62
