Background

Jiang Li is a transmigrator who read Douluo Continent in his previous life. His knowledge of future events, characters, and valuable opportunities informs his decisions from the beginning. He awakened with Innate Full Soul Power and the ancient bronze-book Martial Soul known as the Summoning Grimoire. 1 2

At his awakening, a black angel phantom appeared and Dark Qian Renxue became attached to his Martial Soul. Jiang Li recognized her as an alternate Qian Renxue born from the Angel God Trial, as well as a future Angel God inheritor and Level-99 Limit Douluo. 1 2

He rejected Yu Xiaogang’s attempt to take him as a disciple, refusing to become a test subject for Yu’s theory about a 423-year first Soul Ring. Jiang Li openly challenged Yu Xiaogang’s lack of practical strength and concluded that his theories had been validated only by already exceptional students. 1 2

Jiang Li hunted his first Soul Ring alone in the Soul Hunting Forest. A near-fatal ambush by a Mottled Tiger checked his early overconfidence, but he killed the beast by climbing onto its back and striking it with the borrowed power of the Dark Six-Winged Angel. He then safely absorbed its Soul Ring inside the Summoning Space. 4 5 6

Personality

Jiang Li is independent, skeptical of authority, and strongly pragmatic. He values demonstrated results over reputation, which defines his hostility toward Yu Xiaogang and his refusal to join Shrek Academy under pressure. 1 11 36

His foreknowledge makes him calculating and opportunistic. He seeks powerful contractors, rare resources, and politically useful conflicts, while avoiding efforts he considers inefficient. He delayed his third Soul Ring for Whale Glue, targeted Soul Masters with exceptional potential, and planned to exploit Tai Long’s death to incite conflict between the Clan of Strength and Shrek Academy. 6 16 39 40

Although initially overconfident, Jiang Li can recognize a genuine power gap. After injuring Zhao Wuji, he acknowledged that he could not defeat a serious Soul Sage directly and chose indirect retaliation instead. 4 38

He is also manipulative and coercive when pursuing his goals. He exploited Xiao Wu’s uncertainty about her mother to secure a contract, imprisoned Zhu Zhuyun until she agreed to sign, and used Charm and poison to turn Tai Long into a disposable pawn. 8 26 39 40
