Background / History

Zhu Zhuyun was raised as the legitimate daughter of the Zhu Clan and selected to become the future Crown Princess of the Star Luo Empire. The empire’s succession system turned her and her younger sister, Zhu Zhuqing, into nominal enemies: only the strongest eligible pairing could survive as heirs. 20 29 30

She pursued Zhu Zhuqing from the Star Luo Empire toward the Heaven Dou border, outwardly acting as an assassin. After defeating Zhuqing, however, Zhuyun ordered her subordinates to report that her sister had died, hoping to free her from further pursuit. When the Titan Giant Ape appeared, she carried the unconscious Zhuqing herself rather than abandon her. 20 21

Zhuyun, Zhuqing, and their subordinates were captured by the Azure Bull Python and Titan Giant Ape. After being exchanged to Jiang Li, Zhuyun attempted to secure her release through her prospective status as Star Luo’s future Empress. Jiang Li instead recognized that her apparent hostility toward Zhuqing concealed a protective motive. 22 23 24

After Zhuqing contracted with Jiang Li, Zhuyun was given the choice of signing the Summoning Grimoire or remaining imprisoned in its protected space. She signed under protest, becoming Jiang Li’s fourth contractor. The simultaneous contracts triggered the evolution of both sisters’ Martial Souls. 26 27

Appearance

Zhuyun is an eighteen-year-old woman with neat short hair, a cold yet alluring demeanor, and a strong family resemblance to Zhu Zhuqing. She was first shown in fitted black leather clothing while pursuing her sister. 20 28

Zhuyun is politically aware, observant, and highly pragmatic. She immediately tried to use her position as the future Empress to negotiate with Jiang Li, and she carefully assessed whether his abilities could truly shield her from Star Luo retaliation. 23 26

Her ruthless image is partly deliberate. Although she pursued and defeated Zhuqing, she secretly arranged for her survival, protected her during the Titan Giant Ape incident, and later welcomed the possibility of repairing their relationship through the Twin Civet fusion. 20 21 29

She is bold and competitive in personal matters. Unlike Zhuqing’s hesitation, Zhuyun openly flirts with Jiang Li, initiates physical affection, and encourages her younger sister to fight for what she wants rather than passively wait. 27 28 37

Zhuyun’s Netherworld Civet evolved into the Heavenly Origin Civet after her contract with Jiang Li. The evolved Martial Soul shifts her specialization toward strength without discarding the agility associated with the original Civet. 27 28

Zhuyun can fuse her Heavenly Origin Civet with the complementary Earthly Origin Civet held by Zhu Zhuqing or summoned by Jiang Li. The resulting Twin Civet is a massive black-and-white beast whose appearance resembles a giant panda rather than a feline. 29 37

• With Zhu Zhuqing, the fusion can contend with Soul Masters below level 50, but Zhuqing’s lower Soul Power and their incomplete emotional compatibility severely limit its duration. 29
• With Jiang Li using Zhuqing’s Earthly Origin Civet, the fusion incorporates six Soul Rings and produces a far stronger Twin Civet. 37

Contract and Martial Soul Evolution

After Jiang Li acquires the sisters from the Azure Bull Python and Titan Giant Ape, Zhuyun becomes his contractor under coercive terms. Her contract produces the Heavenly Origin Civet and establishes the Twin Civet connection with Zhuqing. 23 26 27

Reconciliation through Fusion
