Background / History
Fat Dragon is a fellow Blue Star transmigrator who initially survives by presenting himself as the Sky-Blasting Gang’s imposing “outer sect elder.” In reality, he fabricated the sect’s history and recruited disciples to enter dangerous secret realms on his behalf, intending to claim their discoveries while avoiding the risks himself. His meeting with Chen Qiu begins when he steals Chen Qiu’s pig head meat, but shared modern references reveal that they are compatriots. He subsequently gives Chen Qiu medicinal liquid, explains the cultivation system, and guides him into Qi Refining. 1 2
Before arriving in Windward City, Fat Dragon was captured by the Flower-Offering Sect after awakening Strength of Nine Oxen. The sect used him as a cultivation supplement for three months, leaving him physically depleted despite his Sixth-Level Qi Refining cultivation. During this period, he created the self-made technique Nine Dragons Chasing the Sun to avoid being completely drained, and later escaped after helping a traveling celestial maiden earn Spirit Stones. 17
His experiences with the Flower-Offering Sect fuel both his resentment and his self-image. He chose the name “Fat Dragon” as a reminder that humiliation was temporary and that he would eventually rise to power. After Chen Qiu destroys the Flower-Offering Sect, Fat Dragon refuses to forgive the Walking Celestial Maiden for her past abuse and rejects her claim that he came to save her. 17 129
Fat Dragon becomes Chen Qiu’s closest early companion. He helps defeat the Sixth-Level Wolf King with two valuable talismans, provides intelligence throughout the Heavenly Dao Secret Realm, and later assumes the position of Grand Elder in the Mocking Heaven Sect. Though frequently outmatched by Chen Qiu, he remains responsible for sect affairs and helps integrate new members. 5 16 181 304
His fortunes change after Chen Qiu introduces him to Ao Tian and the Dragon Race. His traits prove capable of ending the race’s reproductive crisis, while testing reveals that he possesses the unprecedented Twelfth-Grade Five-Clawed Golden Dragon Bloodline. The Dragon Race’s revival, Fat Dragon’s rapid cultivation, and Mocking Heaven Sect’s resource needs become closely intertwined. 181 186
Appearance
Fat Dragon is a plump, heavyset man whose ordinary and initially weak-looking appearance sharply contrasts with his grandiose self-presentation as an immortal sect elder. 1
- Frequently described as fat or plump. 1 129
- Initially appears physically depleted despite being a Sixth-Level Qi Refining cultivator, a condition later linked to the Flower-Offering Sect’s exploitation. 1 17
- Commonly carries a long blade or the spirit treasure Dragon Slayer. 21 51
Personality
Fat Dragon is shameless, theatrical, vulgar, and highly practical. He is willing to kneel, flatter an enemy, or run from danger when survival demands it, but this pragmatism is not simple cowardice; he repeatedly accompanies Chen Qiu into situations he believes may be fatal. 6 18 257
His confidence is badly damaged by his apparently useless initial trait and his mistreatment by the Flower-Offering Sect. He compensates through exaggerated rhetoric, ambition, and a persistent belief that he is a dragon lying low before his eventual rise. 2 17
After aiding the Dragon Race, Fat Dragon becomes visibly more confident and proud. He embraces his role as a “Calamity-Bearer,” believing that his unusual traits were meant to resolve the Dragon Race’s otherwise inevitable extinction. 181
“A man certain that he will one day stand atop the peak will never feel ashamed of having knelt yesterday!” 17
Abilities & Skills
Strength of Nine Oxen
Fat Dragon’s initial White Trait grants him possession of nine oxen, an effect he initially considers humiliating and career-defining in the worst possible way. 2
- Trait Grade: White. 2
- Effect: “Possess nine oxen.” 2
- The trait later becomes useful in sustaining Fat Dragon through the Dragon Race’s demands, with Ao Tian calling it exceptionally suited to their situation. 181
Never Misses
A reproductive trait that becomes one half of Fat Dragon’s value to the Dragon Race. 32 181
- Trait Grade: White. 181
- Effect: Any opposite-sex member of Fat Dragon’s own race who sleeps with him will certainly become pregnant. 181
- Combined with his other traits and bloodline, it allows him to produce high-grade Dragon Race descendants. 181
Ignore Barriers
A Blue Trait that removes the racial restriction of Never Misses. 173 181
- Trait Grade: Blue. 181
- Effect: Allows pregnancy between opposite-sex partners of different races. 181
- Its interaction with Never Misses makes Fat Dragon uniquely capable of restoring the Dragon Race’s population. 181
Twelfth-Grade Five-Clawed Golden Dragon Bloodline
Fat Dragon carries the highest known Dragon Race bloodline, surpassing even the Dragon Emperor recorded in Dragon Race history. 181
- Testing reveals the bloodline after a Sixth-Grade female dragon bears a Tenth-Grade descendant through him. 181
- The Five-Clawed Golden Dragon Bloodline is the strongest of the Dragon Race’s nine primary bloodlines. 181
- His bloodline contributes to the quality of the Dragon Race’s new generation and establishes him as an essential figure in its revival. 181 279
- An illusion based on Fat Dragon demonstrates that the bloodline may possess combat applications that he has not yet learned to use himself. 306
Blessed with Children and Grandchildren
This trait radically accelerates the Dragon Race’s reproductive cycle and maturation rate. 186
- Female dragons can give birth every three months. 186
- Dragon hatchlings mature in one year rather than five hundred years. 186
- The resulting explosive growth creates a severe resource burden for both Dragon Race and Mocking Heaven Sect. 186
No Attacks on the Parents
A Green defensive trait whose usefulness increases with Fat Dragon’s number of descendants. 96 186
- Trait Grade: Green. 186
- Damage inflicted on Fat Dragon is evenly distributed among his descendants. 186
- Damage inflicted on his parents is transferred to Fat Dragon. 186
- With nearly one hundred Spirit Transformation dragon descendants, the trait makes ordinary damage negligible once dispersed across them. 186
Nine Dragons Chasing the Sun
A self-created technique developed during Fat Dragon’s captivity in the Flower-Offering Sect. 17
- Created to resist being completely drained while used as a cultivation supplement. 17
- Its existence attracts the interest of the Flower-Offering Sect’s traveling celestial maiden. 17
- Represents Fat Dragon’s ingenuity and determination to survive rather than submit to his captors. 17
Talisman Use and Close Combat
Fat Dragon lacks a consistently powerful offensive technique but uses talismans, spirit treasures, and opportunistic melee attacks effectively. 3 51 206
- Spent two precious talismans to slow and severely wound the Sixth-Level Wolf King, enabling Chen Qiu to finish it. 5
- Can deploy dozens of talismans equivalent to full-force Foundation Establishment First Layer strikes. 51
- Fights with Dragon Slayer, charging opponents directly after weakening them with talismans. 21 51
- Later identifies his defensive traits and dragon descendants as his practical source of combat strength. 206
