Background / History

Nuwa and her elder brother Fuxi were born and cultivated at Fengqi Mountain, which they considered their rightful dojo. When the Witch Race demanded that they abandon the mountain, Nuwa refused outright and took command of the confrontation after Fuxi recognized her superior combat ability. 48

Her early encounters with Dan Jing shaped much of her caution. She initially dismissed him as a “bold and crazed madman,” and was reluctant to contest even a destined opportunity when doing so risked creating karma with him. 6 8 Dan Jing repeatedly humiliated and suppressed her, leaving her wary of challenging him before reaching the Sage Realm. 53 100

Nuwa and Fuxi initially repelled the Witch Race’s assault on Fengqi Mountain, but a prolonged campaign of suicidal attacks by hundreds of millions of Witch cultivators forced them to gather Fengqi Mountain and flee east. They avoided mass slaughter because killing Pangu’s descendants carried immense karmic consequences. 50 55

She grows markedly more practical over time. After repeated defeats, she learns to suppress her anger, accept humiliation when necessary, and seek useful opportunities rather than defend face. She recognizes Dan Jing’s deceptions as effective when they provide a genuine benefit, and later persuades him to aid the Heavenly Court by appealing to his desire for spectacle. 115 173 226

As a ruler, Nuwa is decisive and politically perceptive.
