Hill hadn't realized what they were planning at first. But when members of both families sprinted straight toward Neverwinter Forest, it clicked.
He was surprised, but not shocked. To the Undead, spending a day winding through the Underdark was far less appealing than jumping straight down through the roof of the cavern.
Some of them would certainly fall to their deaths. But they had jumped even when survival had been impossible! Now their chances were much better.
More importantly, nobody thought they were bound to fail before they jumped. Even players notorious for their clumsiness somehow found confidence when everyone was leaping into a hole together.
Still, Hill figured there wouldn't be many Mages who fell straight to their deaths this time.
Probably... right?
Even if the chaotic elements there made flying impossible, they could at least cast Feather Fall on themselves, couldn't they?
Flight was definitely out. Xue Yunfeng's reflexes might not keep up with his brain, but if flying were possible, he would have shouted for them to do it.
At their current levels, though, the Undead could easily maintain Feather Fall for two hours and cast it on others too... provided they remembered.
Hill soon discovered he had underestimated them.
The first wave of Undead charged into Neverwinter Forest, raced around the split-open fissures and lava strewn across the ground, and finally reached the burning volcano. They barely paused before jumping straight in.
On another giant screen, Xue Yunfeng's roar rang out. "Fuck! Even I know to cast Feather Fall before jumping! Is there a Mage here who doesn't? Did William give you useless idiots half-broken character sheets on purpose?"
Old School Striking King's leisurely voice followed. "The cavern's huge. We're right in the middle. Even if tens of thousands of you jump in together, you won't
