Hill did want to make a move.

He did not know why Talos had played such a prominent role in the chaos of Telashir's Magical Beasts—even more prominent than Gruumsh, the Orc god. But he no longer cared. Knowing who his enemy was would be enough.

Now that the Spellplague had come ten years early, it might not be a bad thing for him.

It had caught Hill off guard. He had always planned to leave before its original date in 1385 DR. But it had also given him the best possible chance to take revenge with his own hands.

Hill briefly closed his eyes.

His love for Telashir might have deepened as the Earth Goddess awakened, but he had never tried hard to resist that attachment.

The homeland in his heart had become an unreachable dream.

And by nature, Hill did not want to be a fallen leaf, drifting wherever the wind took him. He still wanted roots to return to.

He thought the God of Space-Time and William must feel the same way.

Telashir certainly had its share of things that were hard to accept, but compared with other fantasy worlds, it was a rare haven.

After traveling through Toril, Hill's sense of belonging to the World Tree Pantheon had grown stronger than ever.

His fair, slender hands gently clenched and opened. Winter's Ring and the Crystal Flower Ring gleamed coldly, much like his mood.

He took several Ioun Stones from the pendant at his chest. Two were vivid purple. One held Mana Drain, perfect for charging from the gales, downpours, and lightning Talos liked to use to intimidate his enemies.

The other held Freedom Spell.

With those two Ioun Stones, Hill would be unlikely to find himself at a disadvantage.

Unless a god could sever his connection
