Hill opened his mouth, then quickly closed it again.

Something seemed to be burning in his Mental Sea.

It was as though an elusive voice was telling him... he stood at one of the most crucial fulcrums in the River of Fate.

Even Edna's Path of Fate back then was insignificant compared to this fulcrum.

That had only been Toril's fate.

But now, Lathander's decision could affect the entire Multiverse!

And Hill—who seemed connected to this matter, yet was of little consequence to it—had completed his first observation of fate at this fulcrum.

Whether or not he was willing to acknowledge his identity, Hill had now hung his own Fate Star in the River of Fate.

He could choose not to observe the River of Fate, but he had already been granted the right to enter it.

And that was a right even the gods who listed divination among their divine portfolios did not possess.

Hill gently pinched his fingers... but he did not need that right at all!

Those who comprehended fate could only remain silent.

Yet all he had wanted was to remind Lathander... not to forget that Toril still had a Dark Sun!

He had figured all this out without fate's guidance, so why should he be forbidden to speak?

But at that moment, it was as though a lock had been placed on Hill's Mental Sea, leaving him unable to say what he had intended.

He clenched his hand tightly... Hill could vaguely sense that this was not the River of Fate stopping him, but a seal deliberately left by another source of his bloodline.

Had Hill not hung this Fate Star of his own, he probably would never have seen this god, who appeared only within the River of Fate, in his entire life.
