He and Falan both had Mobile Mage Towers. They simply hadn't needed to bring them out before... now was the perfect time.

Compared with Aglaia, where he had to watch his every move, Falan naturally preferred staying in the demiplane. He still had plenty of books to read and plenty of magical items he had yet to try making!

Hill's Floating Castle was well protected, but the presence of Greater Divine Power right next door made Falan unwilling to reveal his true abilities... the gods of this world were far less restrained than those of Telashir.

He knew Hill had never warned him to be careful in the castle. That meant his grandson was absolutely confident he could handle anything Falan might cause.

Still, Falan had always been cautious. He gave up on his more unusual alchemical experiments and made only commonplace items... he hadn't forgotten what Hill had said about the demiplane.

It was only half a year. Reading and making a few little things on the side would be enough.

Falan carefully inspected Hill's two studies and found that Hill had kept most of the original books in the Floating Castle. Only copied books had gone into the Mage Tower inside the Otherworld Whale.

After a moment's thought, he realized Hill intended to avoid taking certain things from Toril with him. In particular, Hill hadn't put a single old book in the Mage Tower.

Falan had quite a few valuable things himself, but Hill hadn't warned him to be careful with them... so was this connected to the gods after all?

Could a mage do things that Hill, who possessed divinity, could not?

He quietly packed his belongings and returned
