"The Undead are like the elves from ten thousand years ago," Selûne cut in. "The ones on Evermeet don't deserve the comparison."

Ever since they had learned what had happened to the two Moon Elf princesses, Selûne had held Evermeet in contempt. Infighting itself did not bother her much. Humans, elves, or any other people—intelligent beings would always fight over their interests.

But selling members of their own royal family to another race for amusement? And elves called themselves an eternally pure, noble people who would fight to the death for their kin!
