Late May was the hottest time of year in the Alola Region, yet Hau'oli City's residents seemed completely unaffected by the scorching weather. They streamed endlessly toward this newly built arena, constructed using Ultra World technology.

At that moment, one semifinal match of the Masters Ten Tournament, newly expanded from the Masters Eight Tournament, was underway inside the venue known as the Future Pokémon Battle Arena.

The dense crowds gathered outside the Ultra Arena to watch the giant screens alone showed just how captivating this match was.

Advancing technology had brought a whole new viewing experience. The giant screens were currently locked onto the first-person perspective of one of the most popular Pokémon around—Leon's Gigantamax Charizard.

After Gigantamaxing, Charizard was as massive as a small mountain. Looking down from its perspective, the enormous boulders scattered across the Rock-type battlefield looked no different from pebbles.

Charizard's gaze was firmly fixed on the ghostly figure darting and flashing through the field below.

Then, its bulging abdomen swelled once more. Terrifying flames, hot enough to melt the hardest metal in the world, surged forth in a spiraling torrent and shot toward the endpoint of that figure's trajectory.

"G-Max Wildfire! Just as expected, faced with the desperate situation of being three points behind, Champion Leon has had Gigantamax Charizard use its signature Max Move! Xia Chen's Dragapult expended a great deal of energy in its battle against Aegislash. If this Wildfire lands, Leon still has a real chance!"

The passionate commentary was barely noticeable in the arena stands, because the fiery explosion caused by G-Max Wildfire was simply too deafening.

If not for the soundproof energy barrier separating the field from the stands, the enormous roar might have blown the spectator seating apart.
