Background / History

Xiao Wu attended Notting Academy alongside Tang San. According to the diary’s revelations, Tang Hao’s threats caused the academy’s staff to neglect her despite her innate talent: she received no cultivation resources and had to perform work-study duties to earn money. The city lord’s son reportedly helped complete those duties; otherwise, she might not have reached Level 29 by graduation. 5

Her true identity as a transformed hundred-thousand-year soul beast was exposed through the Diary Copy. She subsequently confirmed to Liu Erlong that her original form is a hundred-thousand-year Soft Bone Rabbit. 5 6

The revelations change Xiao Wu’s view of Tang San. She learns that he was responsible for her mother’s death, hears suspicions that he deliberately caused her Lovesick Heartbroken Red to fall during the Elite Competition, and later learns of his manipulation of their daughter Tang Wutong’s soul.
