Thor flew in from the sky and landed atop Stark Tower. His armor was covered in dust and blue blood, and his long golden hair had been blown into disarray by the wind.
His gaze fell on the Chitauri Flyers crashing in the distance, then on the Chitauri Soldiers lying motionless on the ground. He let out a long breath.
"It's over," he said.
Peter and Harry flew back as well, landing on the platform.
Peter stumbled as he landed and nearly lost his footing, but Harry quickly caught him. Peter's mask retracted, revealing a face that was tired yet still full of spirit.
"We won?" Peter asked.
Lin Hai glanced at him, then at the people around Stark Tower who were cheering, crying, and embracing one another, as well as the survivors crawling from the ruins and helping each other out.
He drew his gaze back and looked at Peter. "Yeah, we won."
Peter grinned brightly.
Harry's mask retracted as well. He looked at Lin Hai, then at Tony lying on the ground. "Is Mr. Stark okay?"
"I'm fine. Just a little tired." Tony pushed himself up from the floor and rose unsteadily to his feet.
In the distance, Steve emerged from a street, his uniform and shield covered in dust and grime.
Hulk leaped down from the roof of a building and landed with a dull crash. Perhaps all that venting—especially the part where he beat Loki senseless—had greatly eased his anger.
After landing beside Steve, Hulk's body began to shrink and change. The green Hulk gradually turned back into the somewhat reserved Bruce Banner.
Banner was barefoot, with only those miraculous shorts left on him. He stood there, staring at the surrounding ruins and the cheering crowd with a somewhat blank expression.
