Lin Hai and his friends founded Starsea Studio, built its Spider-Man merchandise business, and defeated a lawsuit with Matt Murdock’s help. When the Ancient One sent Lin Hai and Gwen to face a demon god’s Pioneer, they survived the attack and began a relationship, leaving Peter and Harry eager to join future missions.

• Lin Hai, Gwen, Peter, and Harry founded Starsea Studio with backing from Kingpin, Pepper, the Osborn Group, and others, and Peter received payment for authorizing the use of Spider-Man’s image.
• The friends developed and sold Spider-Man merchandise, then traveled with Lin Hai to Ta Lo, where Zheng Xian agreed to adapt the Superhero Profit Plan for Huaxia and Sabre trained with them.
• After competitors and Jameson challenged Starsea Studio’s rights, Matt Murdock took the case and won a court ruling requiring the companies to stop their conduct, apologize, and pay compensation.
• Matt joined Starsea Studio as legal counsel, and the friends’ merchandise sales recovered as they returned their attention to school and new designs.
• The Ancient One told Lin Hai and Gwen that Pluto planned to conquer Earth and sent them to confront his advance agent, the Pioneer.
• On the African grassland, Lin Hai and Gwen fought the Pioneer and its shadow duplicate, and Gwen’s Dawn Buckler shielded her from most of an explosion.
• Lin Hai treated Gwen’s injuries, and the two kissed and agreed to become a couple before returning to Kamar-Taj.
• Lin Hai and Gwen told Peter and Harry about the mission, but Lin Hai said they should not join future missions against such unusual threats.

Lin Hai mastered the new Life Force born from his clash with Death Force, then helped The Ancient One lure Pluto into a Mirror Dimension ambush and defeat him. After returning to Earth with alien materials and a captured Demon God Pioneer, Lin Hai and his friends began planning new equipment.

• Lin Hai’s Life Force absorbed the Death Force in his dantian and formed a new energy core that healed his meridians.
• Lin Hai tested his new power at Kamar-Taj and in the Missouri forest, restoring vitality to Master Hamil’s damaged arm and gaining plant-control abilities.
• The Ancient One warned Lin Hai that Pluto was likely to descend on Earth soon and planned to use him as bait for an ambush.
• Lin Hai lured Pluto and his army into the Ancient One’s Mirror Dimension trap, where Kamar-Taj’s mages attacked the invaders.
• Lin Hai trapped the Demon God Pioneer with vines while The Ancient One used Vishanti’s power to kill Pluto and claim his Dark Origin.
• Lin Hai helped the wounded mages, collected unusual battlefield objects, and imprisoned the Demon God Pioneer in Kamar-Taj’s Containment Chamber.
• Lin Hai told Gwen, Peter, and Harry about the battle, and they examined the recovered materials for their unusual properties.
• Lin Hai and his friends set aside plans for Gwen’s staff and agreed to use the alien materials to improve Harry’s Nova Armor and Peter’s suit.

Lin Hai and his friends raided The Hand’s Shadowland stronghold, then learned that the organization had attacked Vanessa and joined Kingpin in preparing to destroy it. The arc ended with Lin Hai arranging a meeting with Kingpin and Matt and asking Matt to invite Elektra.

• Lin Hai and his friends helped Matt confront The Hand, raiding its Shadowland stronghold and defeating its ninjas while Matt fought nonlethally.
• Lin Hai healed Matt’s injuries, but could not restore his damaged eyes, then asked Kingpin to use his network to track The Hand.
• The Ancient One completed Gwen’s staff, and Gwen tested its shield, invisibility, and size-changing enchantments at Kamar-Taj.
• Kingpin told Lin Hai that attackers had killed his driver and bodyguard and wounded Vanessa while she protected Richard.
• Lin Hai purged the Dark Energy corroding Vanessa’s brain and restored her to consciousness, then linked the attack to The Hand and the Beast.
• Kingpin concluded that The Hand had targeted Vanessa to weaken his influence and agreed to join Lin Hai in destroying the organization.
• Lin Hai called Matt and invited him to meet Kingpin the next morning, asking him to invite Elektra as well.

Lin Hai and his allies prepared to exploit The Hand’s rivalries while Lin Hai received and began bonding with his reforged spear. After visiting his parents and Ta Lo with Gwen, Lin Hai accompanied her to meet her family, where George Stacy’s attempt to intimidate him was undone by Gwen’s affection.

• Matt told Lin Hai that Elektra had agreed to join the plan against The Hand, and she reunited with Matt at his law office.
• Lin Hai introduced the group to Kingpin, and Elektra explained The Hand’s Five Fingers, their territories, and their dependence on Dragon Bone.
• Kingpin and Lin Hai agreed to exploit the Five Fingers’ rivalries by recruiting Murakami and Bakuto against Madame Gao and Alexandra.
• The Ancient One presented Lin Hai with a reforged black weapon that transformed into a spear, and Lin Hai began bonding with it through Spear Zen.
• Lin Hai and Gwen visited his parents in Huaxia, then traveled to Ta Lo, where Lin Hai and the Azure Dragon destroyed a barren mountain and Lin Hai restored its scorched ground.
• Lin Hai and Gwen returned to New York with gifts for her family, and Lin Hai met Helen and George Stacy as Gwen’s boyfriend.
• George Stacy’s stern greeting and planned warning lost their force when Gwen sat close beside Lin Hai, leaving George doubtful that he could intimidate him.
